Box Rocket Fab Bed Racks

Awesome! When you are taking new orders again, where will I be able to find out?

 

I hope it also answers the ten thousand questions about whether or not the rack fits with a tool box. Still have to fine tune the placement so it isn't too in the way of getting in the box though. Might put my CB antenna on one of the tabs, too.

 

I know there are not any new orders right now, but I was hoping someone might chime in. I saw a few pages ago someone asked if the 1st gen rack would fit with a soft-top or bedtopper like a sug-top. Wondering if anyone knows the answer. I would like to be able to mount a top over the rack to keep general stuff dry, then remove the top for my excursions and when loading top/sides of rack. Any insight would be appreciated.

How bout just get it & install on the bed of your truck
I'd definitely get one of these if I didn't have a canopy

 

What if I need to carry something that won't fit on or below the bed rack? Wouldn't have anywhere to store it right now. I've carried a workout machine that was taller than the cab of my truck. Would have never been able to carry it with the bed rack.

 

If you get this rack & install it, you'll always have that problem though... unless you plan on taking it on & off

 

That is what I plan to do. That's one if the reasons I like it, you can easily rove it if you need to.

 

How much does it weigh? Storing would be a PITA. Then again everyone loves having a friend with a truck, it's like we're go to movers -__-

 

I would say mine doesn't weigh more than 40 - 45 lbs. I can easily put it on myself as well as take it off by myself

 

Yup, shouldn't be hard to store at all. It's not huge. I'm on of the few people at work that drives a truck. Everybody else has family and were forced to get a car haha

Think about if you get gear on there (hi lift, shovel, axe, etc) just saying... Should work out well for you to take on/off pretty easily though

Yup, the HiLift, a shovel and axe will definitely be going on there. Just measured my bed and it will fit perfectly between my toolbox and co2 tank. I will have to lay the co2 tank down when I have an RTT on the rack though.

Yes, I want a bumper! Haha I'm going to try to do the minimum amount of mods between now and around 6 months from now. By then I might have a garage and hopefully will have enough money saved to get a rack, RTT, expos, and maybe a bumper...

Make a co2 mount in your bed somewhere? Sometimes I wish I didn't have a canopy so I could get a bed rack and do all sorts of mounts and shit inside of it, but a canopy deeeeefinitely has its perks.

Yeah I feel it, if I wasn't leaving for boot camp in a little over a month I'd be saving my money and probably (actually, definitely) wouldn't have spent 6k over the last 4-5 months whoops

 

I bought the 60" Hilift. It's overkill but I've heard people say that they've needed it sometimes. Better safe than sorry!

For the co2 tank I have a mount that's bolted to the bed rails. I'll just make something that allows me to mount it to the bed in the exact same spot, except laying down.

I miss my canopy that I had sometimes but once I get a bed rack and tent I'll be fine without it haha
