Yeah the only reason they're decent is that they're not american at all. It is a tank but you can get it around a corner using the throttle pretty well.

Why is it that I want to get more vehicles just to mod them...I think a true unmodded DD is impossible for me to do..I need to win the lottery

It's pretty easy to DD a stock civic... Mainly because all the toolbags rice them out and skew the idea of tasteful mods.

It has a hurst short shifter in it (POS) so it takes some brute force to get into all the gears. I think my first mod is going to be a GMM ripshifter.

I forgot to mention it also has a puck style clutch in it, definitely takes some getting used to and the pedal is about twice as heavy as the truck:eek:

Haha there is a local civic club in a city north if me. They soup the crap out if there cars. Some are only 17 and on motor #4. Their favorite pass time? Going to the drag strip and beating all the v8 dragers. And I mean..BEAT the crap out if them. Pretty cool to watch really

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.

i would say thats not a bad estimate, very similar to my buddies with his ERL and current tune its just over 575 @ wheels. Thats a fun ride.

The car in the video has a quieter cleaner exhaust than his cruising and low rpm. But not quite the same awesome scream when getting in it. Still sounds great.

His has a heavy/hard clutch and takes some effort to shift as well, not sure on the specs of either but i know it has some short shifter..

If you build it as a track car they are cool, but then it's not really a reliable daily driver. The douches here put gay ass rims, lights, spoilers, stickers, fart cans, and loud subs in the truck and think they are really the shit. They just look gay.

partially agree.. BUT its so hard to not mod them, its the cheapest and easiest car to mod.

Thats always funny. I had a buddy in HS and shortly after who had a WS6 transam putting well over 700 hp to the wheels, who ended up getting rid of it because even as beast as it was.. He would constantly get stomped on by a handfull of ricers at the local midnight madness.

And thats 75% of the civic guys. The other 25% arent to bad :)

It depends on how fast they want it to be as a track car, i have had some friends build some civics that went pretty good, and looked good.. But they drove them every day, almost without issue.

Now other than stickers and wheels, they left out almost all of the above mentioned ricer junk

My old roomate had a GSR swapped del sol. He'd beat sti's in the local autocrosses (mostly because the guys in the STI's were too afraid to really beat on their cars).

I think that del sol saw more rev limiter than idle time

If I need a daily driver I will buy a civic. My dad's is still running great at 294k with no engine work and being a 5 speed coupe it was a sporty little commuter and got 37mpg or better. And it went 135mph when I wanted to see what it could do.

I agree, i have had civic and corolla.

The civic was a better car, But then then NEW civics are very numb to drive.

So for economy i would have a 92-00 civic coupe.

If i had to have a car, and was buying new. It would be an FRS.

Either way the civic or FRS would get mild upgrades.
