Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
yea, i wasnt going to say anything on that. Its always a debate everyone seems to like thier brand X

It wont really do much, i personally have the trd filter, stock is probably better for the engine. And i cant tell you there is any difference in performance. Good thing it was cheap :)

I would probably go back to OEM stock, but the lifetime powertrain warranty covers my ass. The TRD filter is washable, and its TRD so they cant say jack shit about the filter being the cause. win.. Actually once its dirty, ill probably go back to disposable OEM, since i dont notice a diff anyway.

    Keep telling yourself that.

Toyota does not offer a lifetime powertrain warranty. If your dealer sold you one, it is worth no more than the dealer.

You'll be at or beyond 100k by the time issues caused by the filter begin to surface. All that's going to happen is it's going to be an oil burner.
1 quart per 3,000 miles is considered "acceptable"... so don't expect any help when you complain.

    youre probably 100% correct :)

Which is why when it gets dirty ill probably be throwing the OEM disposables back in.

I do have the 125k platinum from toyota.

But probably not much better luck to be had :)

Damn, 6 speed only gets up to 55 mph right below 2k rpm?? Man thats lame! My 5 speed is almost hittin 70, right below 2k mark. And i always keep it there on freeway, no fast acceleration, and get about 17.1 on average.

No idea how you guys get that good. I can barely average 16mpg for local driving, and thats babying it.
    All stock too.

I average 16 mpg per tank. The most I got out of a tank was 300 miles before my sliders. I usually get 260 miles out of her with 16-17 gallons of gas. I drive 65mph on the fwy and have the lightest foot. 285/75/16's Load E, sliders and 2 inch lift.

    its those load range E's

i ran load range E 265/75r16 and easily lost 1 if not 2mpg on my 2008.

They are some tough SOB though

    Local driving.

Around town short hops are a killer.
I pull 23.5 to 25.5, but my commute is 45 miles each way. Light traffic in the morning, heavy on the way home.

But weekends, going shopping with SWMBO, if I start the weekend with a fresh tank, I'll run as poorly as 15 on the Ultragauge by the end of Sunday.

yea, they take a hell of a beating.. No doubt there.

I run range d now, they are softer and lighter.

I have split quite a few tires over the years, those E's were toughest second only to my swampers.

And just in town for short trips is killer, most of mine the scanguage says 9-12 mpg but the miles dont ass up very fast. And that is if the truck is cold (hasnt been driven in hours) if its already warm, 1-2 mile trips around town etc the scangauge tells me around 15-17 mpg for the trip.. The cold starts are really what makes it bad.

My trip to work is a 5 mile sprint down the interstate, in the morning i usually have my foot in it and get about 13 mpg for the trip and on the way home for the day i usually cruise 65.. I make the 26 mile drive to home depot or the movies about 2wice a week and usually cruise between 55-65 depending if i have the time to burn and the energy.

I have been averaging just over 16 mpg per tank lately.

The last time i went wheeling i pulled the trailer 40 ish miles there, wheeled about 3 hours in the tacoma (the rest in the play truck) and pulled the trailer home and averaged 12.6 so not too bad.
