What does wife/ girlfriend think of Tacoma World??

I was curious to see what everyone's significant other thought of Tacoma world. My wife calls it "Nerd World." hahahha

During the first 3 months she was against it. Now she expects me to waste some of my night on nerd world. She started wasting her time on pinterist and the voice so it all works out.

 

If I have our baby in a carrier strapped to me and I am on the iPad I just get "that look" for being on tacoma world and not paying attention to him heh heh.

Plus when I moved to WA I didn't know any fellow TW guys, so I found the local thread and met up with them to offroad. My wife thought I was crazy for trusting some random tacoma guys. She had visions of banjo music and someone saying " boy you have a purdy mouth". Alas I returned instead with some new friends.

 

hahhah. David it sounds like our wives are very much the same. But after we met everyone at the local meet, she was comfortable enough with everyone to ride in your truck with YOU while I got some much needed spotter help!!

I like your style with the ipad and kid strapped to you. I may have to use that.

 

GF says it's a waste of time instead of spending time with her. Um heck no.

 

That or she just loves you or your truck so much that she would tolerate me so your truck didn't get damaged heh heh

 

hahaha dude me and the lady went camping last night in North GA mountains (in the Tacoma) and we started talking about TW and she just didn't get it lol. I was like, "it's facebook for dudes with badass trucks" and we left it at that haha.

 

You must either not waste much time on here, or you are super good at hiding it. Or you don't live together so she doesn't see it much.

I tried to get my wife to start a build on her truck. hahah. Wanted NOTHING to do with it.

 

Shit that's a genius way of explaining it. All chicks can relate to facebook.

 

My gf made an account so she could see the links to meets that I sent her and she is pushing building my truck more than I was... lol

 

She thinks its weird and calls it that dumb site

 

She doesn't think too much of TW but she thinks I have sex with my truck

 

The wife says its wasting money on a new truck.. blah blah blah. Shes use to it now. and has no choice but to accept the "waste of money" lol shes always on fb or tumblr? wife also thinks I love the truck more than her. you serious nah of course not .lol

 

I've got mine almost convinced to sell her 07 Mustang for a 4Runner. She wants a 1st gen, which I'm biased towards anyway lol

I'm telling ya, after I said that, she was like, "oh okay, I guess I get it." I even threw a Pinterest reference in there

 

I used it as leverage to get her (and me) a new 2011 Toyota 4 runner Trail, plus I use the site as an excuse to mod her truck which she seems to like as well.

 

She misses the UG

It works. keep pushing the idea. My wife had NO interest in getting rid of her 2005 Pontiac G6. I told her some BS but true statements about how I learned a ton about the trucks and how reliable they were from the site and we should get her a brand new 2011 trail 4 runner. hahahaha. It worked.

 

Ya I follow your thread a bit love that you "tricked" into the 4runner. She's not into the whole off roading ( gets nauseas) plus im getting my truck to an RTT setup and she hates the outdoors.( I was like ) she hates bugs. I do it any ways but while on a budget.

 

My gf bought a Civic which I happen to love due to MPG. But she regrets it everyday and wants a 4-runner or tacoma...
