I am looking between these two for now. It might be worth it for me to get a winch and mounting plate first then find a bumper to go with it. If nothing else, a kid I work with has friends with welders and he can help me customize something.

I may look into comparing physical sizes on those winches compared to other winches that people have on their trucks here. Tat will be a task for another day though.

I'm not in Oregon, but I feel interested already. I have been planning on getting a 9mm with 19-21 round mag, but a deal on a .40 can be better. I'll have to talk with the wifey about it first though. D you know of any issues with a legal gun crossing state lines?

Unfortunately it is against the law (felony I believe), to sell a pistol to a resident of a different state. While I wish I could do a private sale to someone out of state, it would have to be an FFL transfer sale.

    Hired a body guard huh?

    Erhhhhh. Wrong.
You can sell your handgun to a resident of a different state (gunbroker, email, TW, etc.) BUT you have to transfer it to them through an FFL to ensure the buyer is legally able to own said firearm.

What I do for private party sales regardless of the individual I'm selling to...
*All identification must be current & valid*
    So I see:
a.) Must show (and allow myself to document) some of their state issued drivers license information
b.) Must show (and allow myself to document) some of their concealed pistol/weapons license information

I can't run a background check so this is the best I can manage to make sure I'm:
a.) Not selling to a minor
    b.) I'm not selling to a felon

Why such a big winch? That's what you'd put on a full size diesel. You're fine with something more in the 9.5k range.

In comparing cost, the 15k from pro mark is still less than 10k from warn. It is one of those things that would be nice to have overkill on.

No body guard. Just don't feel the need here in OR as I did while living in AZ.
As for the sale, what I meant was I can't do a private party sale without an ffl to someone of a different state, which is why I said it would have to be an ffl transfer. ;)

New distance record for me. Filled up at the Spokane Airport. Filled up again in Troutdale. All total 325.1 miles going 70-72 the whole way on cruise control. Put in 17.853 gallons. And if you are wondering I drove 23 miles with the light on.

    Basic math says 18.2 mpg

Except your gonna need a large ass battery if not a dual set up with that size winch.

Always run the winch with the truck on so I have battery plus alternator. Somehow I doubt I would be running it long enough in one shot to take all power from the alternator and drain the battery.

I am about ready to beat my you gets brother. For the last 2 years he has been very into smoking pot, even before it was legal. About a year ago, he was in the hospital for 10 days for something that may have been related, but I don't think it was. He is 19 now, and has his medical card for pot. He set up a grow box at my mom's house. I stopped by last night when my other younger brother told me the youngest was out back smoking with some of his friends. I didn't get there before they scattered, and I suspect that my mom called him and warned him I was on my way. She can't use pot because her nursing license is governed by federal law. Kid brother doesn't give a fuck about anybody else and keeps pushing things further, meanwhile my mom sits at work and ignores the problem. When I went by to visit yesterday, I sprayed PB Blaster into both of his bongs, in a baggy of something green, and through open corners into his grow box. I also traced back the extension cord he was using to power a light and fan, unplugged that and cut the end so he can't plug it back in. He also had a can of map gas with torch head that he was presumably using to light his bongs. I opened the valve on that to let it drain out.

Kid brother says I owe him $400 for the bongs because I sprayed chemicals into them and they are ruined and he has no respect for me anymore. Somehow I don't feel like that hurts me. I have no intention of ever paying him $400 for 2 bongs that the only use I would have for them would be as vases, but most likely would quickly end up in pieces.
