It's easier to do an IFS 4wd conversion (and prob cheaper) than a SAC.

Ok ok ok. But I would still get a marlin transfercase! No Toyota wiring to be done and you get a lot more options than just 4hi and 4lo. You also get 2hi and 2lo

The only problem is getting the fucking electronic hubs to lock and unlock

04 Taco SAC kit from all pro, the front axle is almost $5k, and there is still way more fab work involved. I can't find a conversion kit for an 05+ taco also.

Lol if you talk to them they figure out a plan. They used the 04 taco kit on all their FJ swaps. Just need to modify the shock hoops slightly, confirmed by all pro. It comes with a 65" wms axle but I'm having currie custom build front and rear axles for me to get 69" wms, 4" wider than stock.

I also know an incredible welder, so he's willing to help me install it. He loves suspension geometry too, go figure

Jeeze you guys are a tough crowd to win over :p

Fine, go stock then haha. One of the guys on my 4Runner forums is still trying to turn his 2wd into a 4wd, and he's been going at it for 2 years
