And I'm just over here, ramping up to SAS my 4th gen 4Runner

 

Rob, if you don't mind me asking, how much were the u-joints at the dealership?

 

Well I used my work name so my price lower than someone off the street. It was probably about the same as Camelback pricing but I prefer to use local so if I have the problem I can bring it back right away. I think I paid around $60ea. Not exactly sure on the price but I know it was much higher than the Moog but fit great!

 

Whoa... That's a lot of money for a u-joint I found 2wd ones on Camelback's website and they were $55/ea. For that kind of money, I'll just wait til they go out and replace them when they need it. I might actually suck it up and buy an OEM carrier though. I'm torn, I don't want to have to tear this thing apart for a third time, especially since next time there could be snow on the ground...

 

Yea I said the same thing. I bought 3 Moogs for the less $$$ as one OEM but I'll tell you what. It fit better and I don't need an adapter or other gun to greese it.
BTW I think the premature failure of my original ones was my fault for not greesing them properly so I didn't mind paying the extra money for the better quality ones.

 

Anyone want my eibachs in trade for stock springs? Need some I'm trying to go back to stock.

The Moog ones I have now have standard grease fittings. I returned the 'super strength' ones because they had that funky grease fitting. I've kept mine greased every couple thousand miles. They're all still tight and don't actually need to be replaced, I was just going to do it because the drive shaft was out so why not. But for $120, I think I'll wait til they start making noise The one Moog joint I did use seems to fit well, we'll see how it holds up especially because I'll have to press it back out now and reinstall it.

Yup look on Their site and see how much it's a lot unloaded. Never had more than 900lbs in my bed and they still didn't sag. They have great flex. All clean no rust on anything even hardware
