I thought cali too. What were you doing up there? We started at Mountain City, then up and over Yankee Bill and followed that road a bit too far into Idaho. In the fog I missed the turn to go up and over into Cat Creek and into McDonald Creek. We backtracked through Sunflower flats to Big Bend campground just too see if the commies had closed it, sure enough. Then headed north on the Meadow Creek road to the road that goes up and over Big Table back to the McDonald Creek road back out through sunflower flats. We were just trying to find a spot we can get all the trailers in and hopefully back out for our season. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it doesnt get too snowy.

Helping a buddy with a cow tag. Do you know where the ranger station is in Gold Creek?

We camped a little ways past there. A lot of good spots over there.

Yeah, we camped in there last year for my buddies dads bull tag. Were thinking about staying in there but were going to be hunting up on the border, and that's a long ways to travel every day. We'll see what the snow looks like when the time comes.

It is a ways. There is a meadow at the base of Merritt that can hold a lot of trailers and it is fairly easy to get trailers in there

Telephone creek? I think that's where were going to try to camp. We had to leave our trailer in there a few years ago because we got so much snow we couldn't get it out. If that spot is taken there's a few others just south. Or we'll just park it in sun flower flats, butt if its gets windy it will suck.

So I think I may lose the Taco tonight, but it may be a good thing.
I'll know for sure in about 3 hours.

Keeping the taco, I found an FJ40 that was mostly all original and pretty clean, and I tried to get it, but the people wouldn't come down on price enough. The taco was staying anyways, but the wife said I could only get the FJ if she could have the taco.
