I would imagine this kit is more for trails and not desert so there shouldn't be that concern but then again our tacos are heavy

    Works for me.

We've done roll testing before and had zero issues with this. I'd send you the link but it isn't completely on the new site yet.

You can get up to speed while rolling down a hill. Or rolling over backward on its lid. That's a hard hit.

I'm looking forward to wearing the videos  where did you find a 2nd gen to test roll?!

Yeah yeah it's a smaller truck.

If you're racing desert you need a custom built cage, period. That's not what we're offering here. With that said I'd still build the cage just like we do, it would simply have some more options like a dash bar, harness bar, and x bracing in the back.

Not practical for me personally, yet, but maybe one day. Rad as fuck regardless. Just noticed you guys are offering tube doors, I never noticed that.

What would you do for those requesting through the dash? Would it just be one bend and it hits where it hits or could you bend it such that it uses the ac vent like MJP2's cage does?

I think you need a bigger spacer. 3" isn't big enough. Why not get a wheel with lower offset?

Lower offset rims bend too easy on a rock crawler..this is a typical setup for toyota axles out here.

Just because everyone does it, doesn't make it right.

    My mom told me that.

    I'm just busting your ass.

Currently a standard through the dash kit will land in the same place it is now, go straight up to the A pillar and bend up to the same top front corner. If you require something more complex than that I'd be happy to build you a custom cage for your truck with your truck here at the shop.

This looks great Adam, for an "off the shelf" kit I think you nailed it. This will suffice for nearly all consumers that my need roll protection at some point. For a race ready or super custom kit like thru dash its gotta go into the shop to be done right. For all the design time and effort plus material that goes into something like this people should be all over this kit for the price. Once again, great job:thumbsup:

Do you have a picture of where it currently lands, so that I could figure out whether or not I can cut the stock dash to accommodate the tube?

My intent is to add a dash bar, harness bar, and some triangulation of the B pillar and ceiling tubes.

Here's a couple. Just quickly looking at it in my rig it looks like the pillars would be just a little farther forward than the air duct opening. Maybe by about half a tube diameter.
