    Oh yeah, I forgot.

Just consistently meh. Nothing amazing but the catering was ass. Pure ass. For starters everything was just burnt on the outside... no bark to speak of. The brisket was hard and dry with poor flavor. The sausage was just bad. The pulled pork was about the best but it was dry and lacked flavor as well. It seemed like ALL of the above was from frozen, reheated or both. Just a poor effort all the way around. It seems the average person didn't mind but I can't see why because it wasn't that good at all so even the n00best of BBQ aficionados should have noticed.

All this talk of 'que got to me and I just went and fired up the smoker to get it up to temp. Imma get this shoulder on tonight!

Haha.. whenever man. I was going to wait until early in the morning to get it on but that's too risky to it not being done until late tomorrow night. I'll get it on tonight, baby sit it for a few hours and then let it cook overnight while I sleep. With the rock solid temps of electric smokers that's one of the pros so I might as well take advantage of it.

Yeah that is a good pro to electric. I still use the tried and true way. Prolly because I'm too cheap to buy an electric haha.

So the siding is going on my house... It's the wrong color and they forgot some of my high windows in my widow package that I paid for. Plus the builders are writing cuss words on my walls. My realtor asked me nicely to wait for her before I go into the office and flip a table over and throw a chair through the window. I have a feeling they will be eating the cost of this house if it is not fixed I will not be buying the house.

The problem is it was a spec house so there are two different spec sheets. I'm losing my cool very quickly.

I've done construction and most of it is not their fault.

I hope it works out and everyone can keep whatever cool they have left. I don't know who has the upper hand in your situation, I'm sure I will find out at some point.

If you don't mind me asking what is the Realtor role in all of this? Jenn didn't sound like the type to hand you off after the sale was complete, but not sure how much she needs to remain committed if it hits the fan.

Jen is very good at getting what I want. She is there for the whole process until the closing date. She is awesome. At this point I have the upper hand because I can still walk away and they will have a house on their hands with stuff I picked that the will have to sell to someone else.

This is siding that comes in the color that it is. So no painting, I've had enough going back and forth with the builder. Talking with people in the area they have tried this several times with others. They can kiss my ass.

Yeah... did a new build early on in life like you and went through some of these issues. I swore off buying new ever again. Not to mention a deeply rooted hatred for HOA's. :-D

I personally love my older home now and as we remodel it in small pieces, we do it right and take our time.

You have been really excited about this whole thing so I hope they take care of you and make it right. The last thing you want to have is ANY regret on the day you move in.

There won't be any regret. If it's not the way I want it I won't close and ill build another. I'm sure they understand that now that I talked with them. I don't mind hoa's have had a bad one before but I agree with most of what they do in some neighborhoods. I can have sheds and the stuff I want so I'm good.

Yeah that's bad ass there cover of dream theater pull me under is bad ass too. But on that video it say copy write 1992 a I would assume they are older now. They all have to be doing something in music by now.

Edit never mind that was the copy write date for the actual song.

I am a huge Tool Fan and I was blown away by this cover. Anyone here ever seen Tool in Concert? My first time, which was at Red Rocks, was one of the most incredible shows I have ever seen. seen them 4 times now and will go every time I get a chance.

Probably not as much of a Tool fan (I do like some of their tracks but not them as a whole. They're good, just not my cup of tea) but from a music appreciator stand point that was impressive.
