quality highway/all terrain tire that gets no love. Just does not have that sexy off road look, but is a great all around tire that tracks great on the pavement, is quiet, and durable enough to go off road.

    CONCLUSION
After endless research, I decided to go with the M/S 2's, even though the BFG's won the poll. The people who commented on behalf of the M/S 2's had much more convincing reviews/stories then the votes of the BFG supporters. Realistically, All Terrains would've costed me well over a thousand bucks (this friend of my friend I spoke of ended up mixing up the prices when I initially called him so the cost would have been just like any other store ) and would likely never be used for the right purpose, given my driving conditions. The only benefit I would have from them is that they would look cool, which isn't exactly a deal breaker for me.

I've also decided that if off-roading is something I want to get into regularely down the road, THEN I will purchase All Terrain tires and new wheels to go with them. Till then, I look forward to a smooth, quiet drive in all conditions.

Thank you all for your votes and comments! Hopefully this will help someone who is as indecisive as I am.

Good choice. I had MS/2's on my truck prior to switching over to Duratracs. For your use they are the superior choice. They are great in crappy weather. I really loved them in the winter in our wet/ heavy snow up here in the Northeast. Besides a dedicated snow tire or Duratracs, they are probably the best tire in the snow available IMO. They rode very nice, quiet, and had great treadwear. Awesome in the heavy rain too.

I also did a fair amount of mild to moderate offroading in them and they performed pretty damn well.

We had the Michelin AT/2's on our work trucks (f150 xtra cab/ king cabs) and I was not that impressed with them. I was not impressed with their performance in the type of snow we get up here. The MS/2's performed far better all around IMO. You will not be disappointed.

Michelin currently has a rebate going in Canada. I don't know how pricing is up there but the AT2 is cheaper then the MS2 currently here in CA. I'm getting a set of 4 AT2's installed this weekend for $770. I had the MS2 before on my 05 tacoma and on my 10 Titan. They are fantastic tires and last forever. I had 60k on my 05 tacoma when I traded it in and they said the tread was still above 50%. I ride and race dirt bikes so this time I am going to try the AT2, because they look better then the MS2 and also I do drive on some muddy roads getting to and from riding areas. The Michelins are by far the best LT/SUV tires out there for highway and light off road duty.

Speaking of deals. Don't know if you have purchased them yet, but I got a great deal with my 32" Hankook's.

What I did was find the best price online say discount tire direct.com (where I usually find the best price), then I shopped around to see who would price match. Hankook had a $100 rebate with the purchase of 4 tires so total it cost me about $660 installed for 32" tires.

Price match, rebate, equals great deal.

Just something to think about if you haven't purchased your M/S2's yet.

I'm looking for tires myself and haven't decide which to get. If you going for LT tires and for looks, I would go for BFG AT KO or Duratrac. The bad side is that they waste more gas and more road noise. If you go with P tires which I'm leaning toward that, Costco offers Dueler Revo 2 for $180 installed, free rotation and road hazard for life of tire. I think that will be my new set of Revo 2

The ms/2's don't look bad IMO in a 265/75/16 size. They have a pretty blocky tread so they are certainly more aggressive than a normal highway tire.

OP doesn't really need load E tires, they will only hurt his gas mileage got daily driving, unless he regularly hauls/tows heavy loads

I'm debating trading/selling my nearly new Hankooks for M/S2s just because I don't want to wait the years it will take to wear them out.

After that will be dedicated wheels/tires for off road.

But I'm actually considering it even though I would lose money.

Can't go wrong with m/s 2's. I've had them on my truck for a few years and still look and perform great in any condition.

The wheels came in yesterday from Quebec so I had them put on right away and the difference is very noticible! The ride is now much quieter and smoother. I also feel like I have improved stopping power all of a sudden. The look isn't half bad either as they are a fairly knobby all season tire. Next year I'll have to decide what to about my lift situation so that they fill the wheel wells nicely. Also, my tire pressure light came on today and I'm not sure why...

Anywho, I'll wash everything up and armour-all them this weekend so they're nice and purdy. As of now, the wheels and tires are pretty dirty after the installation (grease and stuff). I also might get around to painting the wheels flat black soon if the weather permits since the paint on them is in such bad shape. The truck is 5 years old and the stock alloy paint is chipping and bubbling all over... I can't even fathom how the previous owner let it get to that state in the first place! God that bothers me. You can't see the evidence in the photos unfortunately.

Here's a pic of another TW member's wheels to show what I'm going for:

And here are some pics of the tires, both old and new:

Hey, tires look great man and it looks like they used stick on wheel weights also, I always get them instead of the out side ones, looks a lot better. I had the same combo as that until a got the 4runner rims and the AT2's and they performed very good for me.
