2013 NCAA Football Thread

GameDay put this on their facebook page... A mock-up of what they're expected to do for the game at Bristol Motor Speedway for UT/Va Tech.

If this is how they do it, then the people sitting in the end zones will be damn near 200 yards from the opposite end zone, and almost a full football field from the closest part of the field.

I get that there could be 160k people for a football game, but aside from setting a record, what's the point of this? (I know the answer... $$$$)

Such a gimmick.

 

I hope only 20k show up.

 

Hasn't there been football games at BMS before. Not in the modern era but I'm sure they used to have games there.

 

Ha, someone is mad OU got exposed by one of the worst teams that Texas has fielded in a while. That's ok, I'd be mad too.

 

I just wanna see Swoopes play.. McCoy graduates, Ash is shit.. give him some playing time so we dont have to deal with a rebuilding season next year

 

Ya but those are the only two ranked teams ohio state plays this year. Their sos is just way to weak for the pollsters to give them any real consideration.

 

I agree, he should have been put in by now at some capacity. But I also like the idea of not burning his redshirt and Texas bringing in a competent coaching staff to help him develop. There's too much talent on this team to be faced with a rebuilding season. Plenty of other coaches in the country would kill to take over next year with the kids we have on our roster.

 

Plenty of coaches may get that option. Idk I get the not wanting to burn a redshirt but they better be fucking awesome 4 years in a row if they are wasting this season.

It still has the chance to not be a waste if they play like last week but who knows.



Also I was watching PTI and Tony called out Stoops for running his mouth lol, knew it was one of my favorite shows for a reason

 

Kansas would be a perfect game to put him in and get him some experience. One of my friends is on the Cotton Bowl Committee and claims, based on the meetings, that Texas is going to go hard after Louisville AD Jurich and bring in the Louisville coach too. It's all rumors and hearsay but I like that one, I hope there's some truth to it.
