I'm with what Jberry said. It's about having fun. My point regardling claiming you've done a trail when you really haven't reminds me of a guy on another offroad forum a few years ago that posted up a trail report about how he "conquered" the Rubicon trail. Yeah I think he even used the word "conquered". The guy was driving a Hummer H2. I was skeptical as soon as I saw that. I kept reading only to find out that the guy had driven from the Tahoe side in to the overlook at the top of Cadillac Hill. Anyone familiar with the Rubicon trail knows that the section this guy "conquered" is basically the exit trail (if run in the typical direction) and is mostly a dirt road with a few rocks scattered around. Not by any stretch of the imagination did this guy run the Rubicon trail or have any right to such claim.

So by all means go out and have fun. If that means you winch every obstacle, that's cool, but I wouldn't come home and post all over facebook and on all the message boards claiming to have "conquered" the trail, but that's just me. Hell there are even trails that I think winching still counts. When I had to winch my FJ40 up the waterfall on Helldorado, there is no way you can tell me I didn't run that trail because I took a winch at the end. That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

I've seen it done. Definitely doable. Couple spots are sketchy for a top heavy truck like a LX450 but totally doable. Rockpile will probably need a winch.
