I found it kind of odd that the fuse blew out. I use the wiper fluid motor maybe 3 times a week mostly when under trees. This is the first truck/car I have had this problem. Who knows :notsure:..................I guess it bets a major issue:)

I wouldn't worry yet.... Could be as simple as a bad fuse.
Keep an eye on things and let us know if it happens again.

Off topic, have u tried rain x?

    I love that stuff.

Replaced fuse, still nothing. I found a replacement pump for 20.00. I'm going to check a couple other things b/4 ordering it.

Pump quit working again. fuse good/new pump installed. Still nothing. Is their a relay for this? Another fuse besides the 10 amp by my left knee?

    Thanks

Did you find a solution to this? My wiper pump just quit as well. Working one day then the next day it wasn't! Fuse is good and check the wiring(as much as I could). Maybe something to do with the harness that was recalled or a problem with the switch arm?
Checked the fuse box on the drivers side wheel well in the engine compartment. Didn't see a fuse there.

BTW: On my truck the fuse is a 30amp.

    Thanks for any assistance.

so you will want to check if voltage gets applied to the pump, remove the electrical connector and probe the terminals (just make contact, dont bend them) while having someone activate the switch and see if there is 12V, if there is its the pump, if not you need to check the wires, with a wiring diagram check if its power or ground switch, (if the switch is before or after the load) most things are power switch but not all. after finding this out ohm out the wires, you want less then 5 ohms of resistant at the absolute most, most wires have 0.X ohms but 5 ohms is a very definitive problem, if the ohm reader(multimeter) read OL then you have a open in that wire, find the open and fix it.

Thanks for that Joey, was hoping there may have been a common solution for this. It seems a few people have had this problem. Now that I'm back in town, am pulling out the multi-meter and going to trace down the fault. Will post what is found later.

Did you ever find out what it was lol? Changed the fuse out and that didn’t fix it. So it’s probably the pump. I don’t hear any noise at all from it

Yes, thought I had posted a response, must have been on another site. lol

It was the pump motor, made the mistake of checking for voltage while the motor was still connected. Pulled the connector and got voltage when the switch was activated. Replaced the pump.

Still, never had a pump just stop working like that, usually make some noise or work poorly first.

I thought so because I changed the fuse and if it was just clogged I would at least hear the motor which I didn’t. I’ll change it out and see what happens thanks

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along

Do you have a Volt meter check for voltage at the pump pumps do not last forever.

My pump was not working so I checked the fuse (30a) and it was good. Plugged the fuse back in and what do you know? It works again. So pull fuse out and put back in just to rule that out.
