more important question for CO..what are you PLANNING on having up front..haha build for the future man.

True, the dirt that's piled in top of the skids is what gets on my nerves. I've removed mine once to install the diff drop and don't plan to remove them again until I have aftermarket! Haha

just a tube bumper and skids you'd be fine with 580-620 im sure. So 883s or toytech eibachs. Most aftermarket CO come with 650s though or 600.

Full set of buds are like 120lbs i think..haha

front is like 40-50lbs alone i think..

Hmm, don't want to get 650lb and it end up sagging but don't want to get 700lb and it be too stiff. Decisions, decisions.... Haha Oh well, got plenty of time to figure it out I guess

 

coil length has a lot to do with it too.

i know on LT 2.5x8s they usually come with 16'' coils. But if you get an 18'' coil(usually barely fits, needs a bit or precomression) they you don't end up torquing down the collars for lots of coil compression. This results in a better ride cause the coils aren't being forced together.

So timmy, i imagine your Kings are pretty torqued down to match the ride height of the rear..could be why they are stiff. Ill have to double check, but some 14'' coils might be better. Again..not totally sure on the length..

 

Do what I'm doing. Slowly add pieces of armor until it sags too much then go to the heavier coilovers. Doing ok for right now with my OME 882s, an Elite Bumper and Budbuilt IFS front skid. Going to see what a winch does before the year is out.

I don't either, yet. I only have an amp and cb radio for aftermarket wiring. But I'm making myself do it now before I have a bunch of wires everywhere. It's one of my personal steps to do before I'll allow myself to get a bumper...

 

just took my sway bars off. Felt way nicer driving around town. My suspension felt limited prior to removing. And i dont feel no body roll

 

It does, it also limits suspension travel.

Stiffer then stock, he has CO's.

 

sway bars do stop body roll..but if you have beefy coils..you aren't gonna notice a lot of body roll anyways.

You don't have actual IFS till you take it off..otherwise the LCAs are linked and oppose each others change in direction. Limits travel, makes a harder ride.

 

Been thinking about deleting my sway bar.. think I will give it a try.. running extended Kings with 700 springs..

Anyone here running 295/75/16's?

Or if your running 33x12.5 can you let me know how much trimming you had to do?


As I see it, the 295's are about 1" skinnier than the 12.5's but they are about .5" taller. If this is wrong let me know. I'm contemplating running some 295/75/16 Dynapro MT's but don't want to have to do too much trimming.

The wheels I'm looking at are 16x8 with 4" BS

Staying with stock wheels and spydertrax spacers (until I can buy new wheels)
