So I have a family member who was selling a product and they were to ship it out to Nigeria and they had shipped it yesterday 7/10 but now they are thinking that it might be a possible scam and have not received any money for it since it's through paypal. This is the first time for her to use paypal and so the e-mail said to wait 3 days to receive the money. I'm unsure on how to help her and I figured you guys might have some helpful advice. Thanks so much!

no money, no shipment, see if you can call the shipping company, and have the package retained or something.... until money clears at least

Check with the shipping company, I know some can stop a package in route. Hope everything works out for the best.

Anything that has the words "nigeria" near it is either an A.) scam or B.) a scam.

Never send ANYTHING to nigeria! It's the place where every scammer overseas has the products shipped to.

you will have to pay to stop it more than likely. The fed ex and ups world is not made to be stopped. It is hard to pull a package out of the "system" but there is a good chance they can stop it if it is still in the US.

Nigeria? SCAM, SCAM. Did they pay more than you were asking? Craigslist?

Anytime any transaction of any type mentions Nigeria the words fuck you should have already been thought.

Word association. Nigeria=scam Scam=Nigeria. Sucker/Scammed=those who don't think scam when they hear Nigeria.

Dr Suess once said, " there are only two things in Nigeria, scam and aids." Maybe he didn't say that. Either way, it's a scam.

My only advice would be to stop shipment immediately. It looks like you already have done that, so now all you can do is sit, and wait.

The stop shipment will cost you, but I'm sure not as much as losing an old radio.
