So I have 2013 Baja on stock suspension and I just ordered an aluminum relentless plate bumper for the front that is supposed to weigh in around 65 lbs. I won't have a winch and will just have a 20" light bar and pair of Dually D2s in it for fogs. This isn't a lot more weight over stock, but it is some. So I am wondering if I am likely to need to upgrade the front Baja springs to accommodate this extra weight.

    Leaf springs in the back

    shocks in the front

whats the weight difference? I know the bumper support under the plastic weights about 20# and the skin about another 10#.

I'm sure you'll end up with a little sag in the front. The Baja does have a bit of a front lift on it though so I don't think it'll be a huge deal. If it ends up sagging more than you like, you can always upgrade the springs later.

I think the baja has 650 lb springs, i doubt that you would need to upgrade. I would put the bumper on and drive it for awhile. Take measurements before the bumper goes on so you know how much it moved.

You should be fine w those springs. How much did the alum bumper set you back. Please post pics. Been thinking about getting one of those.

Out the door, including shipping it is going to be close to $1,500, but this includes the premium for having it built in Aluminum, the cut outs for fog lights and special cut out for the light bar, full predator bars, and powdercoating to match the truck.

I will definitely be taking measurements and posting up pics when I get it, but it will probably be March or April, considering how they're backordered.

Please do post up. I'm also curious about the difference in strength between an aluminum and steel plate bumper. I wonder if the difference is substantial when offroading.
