I wouldn't doubt that it can carry that much weight. I frequently stand on top of it all the time when strapping gear down. Since it is aluminum it doesn't rust that is a big plus in my book.

Not sure, I will have to look at the alignment sheet in the morning.

    June of next year.

For now, just the compressor. I plan to add a tank in the future where the spare tire used to be.

And just the compressor fills up your tires nice and quick?

All four in under 10 minutes from 10 to 32 psi. With my old MV-50 it was nearly a half hour to fill up 33 inch tires from 15 to 32 psi.

    I greatly admired your rig.
I have a built up Jeep TJ that is no longer really a Jeep TJ. I may have to get something that looks less radical for strange sorts of reasons. A little background on my current build if you can stand it. Almost nothing below the tub is Jeep. Engine change out; tranny change out (4 speed transfer case); air bag suspension etc into the tens of thousands.
I'm thinking of changing it out for something that looks more like a street vehicle. My tires extend in front of my headlights if you get the drift. I live in a close knit business community of people. I've rolled my Jeep on two separate occasions but it's so built that nothing much hapenned by the second time when I had created a very crash resistant vehicle. On the last time I rolled twice and dropped fifty to sixty feet. A couple trees broke the fall. I had not a scratch. The windshield stayed totally undistubed because of the surround exo-skeleton.
So my wife (who could only stare in wonder at the size of the cliff) and this small business community would feel less terrorized if I drove something like what you have. I guess they think I won't roll something more "normal." I loved your build. Your goals might be perfect for me. I have 37 mtrs for the summer and love them. Your rig has 35's about as big as you can get and not look like you're trying to have a rock buggy on the freeway.
I thought you had achieved a sort of perfect nervana balance for a guy who is trying to convince his wife he's still sane.
So here is the punch line. Was there one shop that built all or most of your rig? If there wasn't do you know of one that you could have trusted to build your rig? I can buy a 2010 Tacoma and ship it wherever. I'm a clutz with tools so I need expert fabricators. I just have this mental thing about driving off road--my wife thinks its a thing for driving off the road. I'm really interested in a 2010. Price has dropped and I don't know of a diff between that and the 2013. Do you?
I am an inquiring admirer or your machine.

Demello did most of the suspension work and they added the tire swingout to the rear bumper. Most of the work done to the truck was done by me. If it is cost saving you are looking for, go with a 2008 or 2009. Figure out what you want to build the truck for, and then figure out what modifications you will need to get there.

Not quite set on the twin. May just go with the single and a 2g tank. Should be more than enough for two lockers and airing up 35's (eventually...).

I fought with getting the twin tank one for a while but I'll be getting the single as well. Just carry a small co2 tank for the tires just in case.

don't bother with a tank for tires. short of a 30+ gallon tank, there really isn't a benefit when it comes to tires. smaller tanks are great for lower volume or pressure items, where you'd just rather not hear the compresser going, like a small pressurized shower, lockers, horns, etc. a 2 gallon tank at full pressure would get a 35'' up a couple psi before equalizing, and then you're back to square one with the compressor doing all the work. the dual arb, co2, or a belt driven are really the only quick ways to fill up larger tires.

By the way how big a co2 have you seen fill up 35s fairly quickly?

Shower and lockers are my big items for the tank. Didn't figure 2g would do much on a multi-gallon tire.

unless you run out, size of the co2 doesn't have anything signifficant to do with the flow rate. how quickly your tires fill will be a product of the regulator, hose length/diameter, and the air chuck you are using.

to keep from having to refill to frequently though, i wouldn't go smaller than a 10 lb tank. i've used 10 and 20 lb tanks. probably picking up one this weekend too :)
