Miller can pick 8 teams to not go to. You can bet he would say no to Edmonton. They need a young goalie too not a UFA

 

Holtby, Reimer, or someone like that is who they should look at

Thats what they should be doing. Using assets (Yakupov if they have to) and now go get a young good goalie to play now. Like Colorado did with Varlomov. There gonna suck the rest of the year you can pretty much bet it, so with their possibly last really high pick go with another defence and then just let your team play a few years without pressure. Jesus I cant believe they are expected to be great when they are all so new to the league.

 

But to put in perspective to how bad Edmontons defense/Goalies has been
Colorado has played 6 games and let in 6 goals
Edmonton has played 7 games and let in 32 goals

Sure. Give up a future star, bring in a new goalie to get beat-up on and watch his confidence wilt. That will solve Edmonton's problems.

I am doing fine without a goalie, I have no need for another.

As far as the Oilers go, yeah Dubnyk may prove to be a bust, but I think giving away a player of Yakupov or Eberle's ilk because your team is performing poorly after 6 games is a short-sighted act unless you are receiving something proven in return.
