3 things i learned in the gym today:
    1. if i don't get some fucking sleep, i'm going to kill myself
    b. i can squat 4x6s with 295lbs, so if that is 70% of my 1RM, then my 1RM would be 420lbs.....yo, can i get a spot, bro
III. i can't DL more than 275lbs because i can't hold a grip on the fucking bar.....i can lift the weight no problem but i'm down to my fingertips by the 3rd rep :annoyed:

normally i would agree with that BUT. Straps help in so many areas. On back days Ill use straps to isolate my back muscles, when I dont I use a lot of forearm and bicep to help move the weight....

same with my gym, but i just get a chalk sock, put it in a zip lock bag and stuff it in my gym bag when i lift, as long as you don't get it everywhere i don't think they will care or even notice. also there is liquid chalk which is super stealth.

    Fact

What you should do is kinda mix things up... some days dont use straps, then others use straps.... Make sure you're throwing in pull ups to increase grip and forearm strength

Mix grip that shit! Unless you're pulling absolutely insane weight for the first time ever, you'll be fine. I noticed when I did double overhand, I could not hold on to the damn bar for more than a few reps. With mixed, I can grip it a lot longer. But double over will increase grip strength. So,

Use double as much as possible
When grip strength becomes limiting factor, switch to mixed
