    I'm only going .75" to give me the clearance for 285's with my 2012 stock fj wheels should put me about flush with wheel well. And as far as the law goes I was always told if you can drop a dime and it hits the tire your breaking the law.

    Only sense i see that law actually making is for tires that stick out far enough for the rocks stuck in tread to damage other vehicles so i have never cared either. But i know if i went outside the wheel well, they would hassle me (with my luck).

    For you locals wanting to know about the fender law, it is a law which states that a tire tread cannot exceed past the outer most fender on the vehicle. So if you look down the side of ur truck about the tire and can see ur TREAD then ur illegal. And AR15xAR010 is correct in the reason behind that law. That being said the likely hood of you being hasseled by the popo for some tread sticking out past ur fenders is highly unlikely, unless you cause damage to someones vehicle or cause an accident ull probably never get pulled over for it. Just FYI lol. Hope that answers ur questions

    what's a good toyota dealership to get my tacoma serviced at in the hoco area? I've heard bad things about russel toyota from a coworker.
