Always hot AUX plug. Wet Okole's. 33" tires.

What about my dclb? Am I to seriously believe that NO ONE has a problem with the springs in that? I put 4 bags of masonry and a wheelbarrow in the bed,(400#) and it SLAMS onto the bump stops just going through an intersection with a dip. Toyota at the very least needs to realize that the springs they put in a rcsb WILL NOT work in a DCLB.

No picks of my particular 'redo', and, yes, that is the type of gun I am talking about, I used GE 100% REAL sillycone, not the water clean up stuffs, you want REAL chemicals, clean up with paint thinner or gasoline....

I was inspired to do this because I got another new (OEM) center support bearing, installed drove it for about two miles, still had the vibration, so I sillyconed my old one, took out the new one (no marks, I was uber careful installing, was able to return), then reinstalled the old one, pretty much nirvana instantly, I did some stuff to the leafs,an AAL and U bolt clamps to get rid of the knocking sound when stopping and start8ing...

I believe there is a link to a vid on how it is done in one of the dropdown for repairs...I just winged it, turns out to be pretty EZ....I then used a laser to make sure the driveshaft was perfectly straight, got about 10,000 miles since the fix, absolutely perfect....

this is what I fixed, the shudder with hard acceleration, especially from a stop, it also eliminated that nasty road vibration that seems to surface between 50 and 75 MPH on a lot of these trucks....it is butter smooth for a truck....couldn't be happier...

If I wasn't in the country far far away from people, I would do these fixes for Taco owners on the cheap, flat out, you can fix the lemons, they just need understanding and wrenching....

Thanks. I pulled up some pictures of the removal and repair process and saw the two holes on the top and one lower one pretty clearly. Going to give this a try to see if it will clear up my 60-70mph driveline vibes.

I might add, grease your universals/doublecardain and slip yoke with regularity, I do it with every oil change....

addition #2, pump the Sillycone directly into the center of the hole so it flows in all directions, when you are done, the sillycone will be level with the metal, you DO NOT want to OVERFILL, just let it spread naturally it will fill quickly, thus my 6 squirt thing, if you feel it isn't enough add a squirt, you want a smidgen of give, essential for smooth operations...

and you can not come back and do it again or add to it, one time is all you get...I used to do this trick with front wheel drive 4 bangers that had been heavily modified, the upper motor mounts used to fail all the time, by doing the sillycone in the voids much the same way, failures stopped completely,,,

New member here....this is my first post.

Count me as another person with the vibrations around the 1-2 shift. It's noticeable when taking off in a straight line, but seems to be even worse when making a turn from a stop.

Truck is a '13 DCSB with the off road package, and is 3 days old. Picked it up Monday night, and noticed it the following day. (The drive home from dealer was all highway, so no stop and go)

I've already told them about it, and will be dropping it off next week. Judging by what I've read about this issue so far, I don't have high hopes for a quick fix.

I already grease all universals/ slip yoke at each oil change. Going to have to try the silicone in the CB. Thanks.

I have an '11 and don't have any vibrations.

Have said asshole service manager sit in your truck while you drive, then test drive a few other new Taco's with said asshole. You will either find only your truck is doing it, or if all of them are doing it, not sure.

Its not the same vibration but does anybody else with a 6spd have a little bit of clutch chatter and rough engagement, that you can feel In the pedal when cold?

I have and I gave been waiting for it to clear up but its just sticking around.

The sound it like any other clutch chatter and not severe. The part that bothers me is The non smooth engagement when the pedal feels like its sticking through the trave or pulsing a little.

There is no abnormal throwout bearing noise and once the truck is warmed up it doesnt usually do it anymore.

    best wheel bearings around! www.marionbumper2bumper.com
But see, if you have 4 leaf springs with the same spring rate overall as 2, then you will change nothing. It will wrap just as bad with the 2 as it would with the 4 if both leaf packs have toe same total spring rate.

You should do what I did.

Lift it, then be happy that it vibrates the same or less than stock lifted. :) happy camper.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
As one of the issues discussed in my arbitration hearing today, "known issue, no fix" <-- words from the poor bastard that works for Toyota corporate.

You're going to love it in a few thousand miles when it also starts shifting harsh between 1st and 2nd.

Let me know how you like the engine spark knock that's coming your way too. Sometime around 10,000 miles it should be there, waiting for you! :)

In defense, after reading Nissan forums most of the day, the Frontier is just as big a turd. It's just shaped differently. Lumpy vs. Pellets.

My guess is that you are done at that dealership so You could try corporate and if still no satisfaction try a lawyer. The vehicle is under warranty and vibration is not part of the deal.

I get the vibration at about 20mph, didn't even notice it until I read a bunch of posts here. No big deal, a little vibration doesn't worry me, I don't get to worked up about it since these drivetrains last for 300k plus miles.

It can be irritating if you allow it to be, myself I don't worry about it. It's a known problem, but it's not all that of a big deal.
