Not today but a few weeks ago I installed OME 886 coils and 90000 struts, Monday I got my LR uca's on and yesterday I had 255/85/16 km2's put on. Gotta say I'm pretty excited how the truck is turning out.

Added an aux reverse light. LED flood. On with reverse circuit only. Since it's low draw, I simply tapped into the 'Aux/Reverse' wire in the trailer harness. Used a bolt that fastens the plastic cover onto the bumper, and this gives me some symmetry on the rear. Of course that snapped off in my hand when removing it, so I drilled it out, broke an extractor trying to get the rest, drilled all of THAT out and retapped to one size larger.

I had mocked the wiring up with alligator clips, and everything was golden. Something small like .3A draw for the new light. So I soldered, shrink-wrapped and tucked everything away then tested again - blew the IGN1 fuse a few times until I found that after soldering and shrink-wrapping, a single strand of wire had pierced the wrap and gave me a dead short... I didn't stagger my joints... I had to check TW to find the appropriate fuse, which also prevented me from shifting out of Park once blown... Oooops...

But all's good now, and having that extra light is fantastic!

I sprayed my frame with Fluid Film. I used the pro spray gun Kellsport products supplied with a cheap air compressor that I own and it sprayed great. Hopefully this helps to fend off the rust on the frame.

I didn't detail mine, I suppose if you have a lot of mud you may want to spray it off but other than possibly hosing it off and letting it dry there isn't any necessary prep work.

btw, Kellsport products offer a 10% discount if you enter "tacoma" when placing your order. I only used about half a gallon on my truck. I do wish I had them include the solid extension wand when I placed my order. It would have been useful for some of the harder to reach areas.

Hah! Exactly! 30 minute job turned into almost 3 hours.

But hey, it was on a day off, and the weather was spectacular for mid-October so I didn't mind so much. :)

    Cheers.

Well its not my tacoma it was my 85 but today I pulled all the chit off of the engine found out the mechanical timing was 180 out. Explains why she wouldn't run. Guess thats what happens when drunk friends help! So I got that fixed up and put chit back together and now its running.

    Compression is 155 155 155 162

Valves were set and now all I have to do is check the tps afm udjust the idle do all of the other fix it up stuff and after sitting for ever it should be good to go
