One "bundle" is probably your relay kit which has +, - for the battery and grounds, it also has your ballasts plugs on it, along with your projector plugs. both should be labeled with what they plug into. For the halos your wire them either to a switch or to your parking lights

    This is what I have...

First pic is of ballasts and 3 sets of wires that I have no clue what to do with. jepedyte_0eaad16ff845fe451563cdde03282d72f0d5eb61.jpg

2nd pic is of the huge bundle of wires that all lead from these two little boxes. Then in the corner is the halo wires in the box.ezavy4yg_4ae2de98655fd02c57594971def7f0d04f28b97b.jpg

    Thanks dudes!

Ok the two little boxes are your ballasts, one goes to each projector, the 3 sets of wires you don't need 1 is a test lead to test your lights, and the other two are high/lo splitters if you're doing multiple projectors. The bundle with the two boxes is your relay kit, hook + to battery and - also to battery, should have a long lead to go to the passenger side of the truck with a plug and a ground for passenger ballast, same thing on drivers side. Your halos plug into the ring and the little black box acts as a ballast for those, you wire those however you want your halos to light up whether a switch or when you turn your parking lights on. Then you just plug the ballast into the relay and your projector and bam

Awesome thanks for breaking it down for me. Now that I have a general idea of what I'm looking at, I still have a couple questions about what goes where. Here's a pic with numbers by each set of wires that all originate from the RELAY. 7abe5epa_8e9a85e1e14055f41b3d4bf4e14b54c3fb2b83ce.jpg

#1 - does the relay have to mount to anything specific, like the positive or negative? Or can I just find any spot to mount it?

#2 - is this the "positive" connector with a fuse box attached to it? This is the 2nd longest wire, if that means anything.

#3 - is this the "negative" connector? What is the "male" connector plug into? This is the longest wire.

#4 - this one has a "male" connector and a "U" hook also. So I'm not sure where these go or connect to? This wire is fairly short compared to the 2 longer ones.

#5 - this is just one "female" plug that I'm not quite sure what to do with?

    Thanks for the help!

The relay doesn't but you want it stable and where water will stay off of it, the pos hook with fuse is the positive for your power, 3 the hook is your ground for that ballast and the male plugs into the ballast, same thing for 4. 5 on mine is the a female end to Match the stock headlight plug, did you order the right relay plug on the drop down menu ? Other then it's straight forward. The longer wires are meant for the passenger side ballasts and the shorter ones for the driver side. PM me if you've got any other questions

positive hooks up to the battery, all the other black ends are grounds- the supah long one is the ground for the passy side; it's extended to reach all the way over there

make sure you ground to unpainted, metal mounts that are solid

    Thanks Cody
Now I have everything in its place except for where to plug in the "Female" #5 plug and the Projector Solenoid wires?

The #5 Female plug (from my picture a couple posts ago) is just hanging there, im not sure what I should connect into it?

Same for the wires that come out the rear of each headlight assembly (solenoid wires)? I also have the Halo wires hanging there but thats becasue I havent decided how I want to connect them.

btw, are those the d2s or the h1's?

the wires that come out the back of the projectors themselves control the solenoid for the hi/lo function

I just noticed...you might have the wrong relay. There should be a h4 plug that connects to one side of the stock h4 end to control the on/off

and the relay should have hi/lo wiring in it

Your solenoid wires should just be two prongs, one on the end of a black and red wire, there should be a female black cover and you have to put the plug "together" yourself with the little orangish grommets. Your halos you need to find out where you want them wired and splice them in.

Yeah, Afroman confirmed once I told him I have the 9006 relay harness. I already sent an email to TRS so hopefully they will get the 9003 / H4 here ASAP. Thanks for y'all's help

Yeah, the projector hardware had that plastic black piece but I couldn't figure out where that would plug into. Guess the wrong wire harness wouldn't have the proper connections. Thanks again for the help

Finally got the correct relay for my retros. Got everything ready to go, almost...

    1 question.
Where do I plug this lone "male" connector?
    vugudyty_bdc8525fd537eb4c45187648205c0787d3cca4df.jpg

Here's a pick of the relay, hopefully this is the correct one. I was told its the 9003/ H4
    9esaremy_24d21cb163fd539079d036a4437163d1c5b4db19.jpg

I'm guessing I plug the "male" plug into the driver side headlight plug, the same one that I used to connect to the old bulb on the driver side? If that is the case, will the passenger side connection not be used anymore?

exactly right, only one side of the stock h4 wiring is used with the relay, and it acts as the on/off switch

the passy side isn't used, I just have electrical tape over the female end

I ordered these headlights for this retro (the box that came was labeled SPYDER), and I could not get the lenses off without the housings crumbling apart. I put them in the oven @ 300F for 10 minutes and there was no give at all from the sealant. I kept putting them back in the oven and trying again after every 10 minutes and the glue was rock solid every time.

So now I'm hesitant ordering a diff set without knowing which ones work for sure. Which 3rd party brand of headlight is known to work for this? I have seen these brands of crystal headlights available: Anzo USA, Depo, Eagle Eyes, Spyder. The Spyder's definitely do NOT work, and have no SAE/DOT stamp on the lense and no Serial/model number stamped anywhere on the housing

Which brands don't have any problems removing the lense?

    Thanks

I'm not finding the Depo brand clear headlights anywhere, just the stock style. Any chance I could get a link?
