I don't think sliders have any effect on gas mileage. Or do they?

I would think so. 100 pounds extra weight. I was getting 300miles out of 16gals of fuel. After adding sliders, I get 260 miles a tank tops.

I gave up on MPG a while ago.. Mostly city driving.. all/most times driving:
    1. There is a couple SUP boards on the truck...
    2. Loaded for camping/fishing
    3. Camper shell w/thule racks
    4. Lifted with bigger tires

    All = crappy MPG

    I'm just awesome.

No I mean I keep it under 2k rpm. Always use royal purple oil and 93 octane gas. Regularly maintained.

Makes sense, more weight = more fuel needed to get up n go.

Even if its just a slight difference in weight, itll change your mileage a little.

My '07 SR5 dbl cab does 21-22 mpg highway, 17-18 city. My '11 TRD Sport dbl cab will do 19 highway and 16 city. Sad thing is, my '10 Land Rover LR4 will beat my tacomas on the highway. It does 20-22 mpg highway and it weighs 5700 lbs and has a 5.0L 375hp V8.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Under 2k rpm is good for gas but bad for my temperment.

Also its too nice to the tiresm and if your too nice to the tires they will get lazy.

MPG shown below. I have a 3" lift with stock 265/70/16. MBRP dual exhaust and most recently K&N CAI. Exhaust and K&N is so recent I don't know if mpg will go up or down. Most of my driving is city. I live 5 min from where I work 30-35mph. 3-4 times a week I have to go to babysitter, about 15-20 min away, speeds up to 60. Aggressive driving at times. I have only gotten 18-19 mpg once or twice and that was 90% hwy.

I get 22 - 24 mpg city and 24 - 26 mpg highway. I could get better, but with load A/C and 75 mph is not happening. Most of the freeways I drive would get you killed doing 60 mph.

    winter time 19 - 21 mpg.

I had my taco 13 months and just hitting 17K miles. Vehicle is factory stock and I have no intentions of modding it.

    Regards, Ron

Just got 10.4 L/100km (22.6 mpg) on my 150 km (93 mi) commute to work. I was sort of driving like a granny, rarely exceeding 100 km/h (62 mph), and felt like I was holding up traffic a couple times.

    If I drive right along at 120 km/h (75 mph) I get around 12.5 L/100km (18.8 mpg).

Those numbers seem to be about the average for most guys that don't have oversized tires and big lifts.

Why 92? Is the engine modified to need it or you just like spending more money?
