How did you do the tape work on this with the multiple coats (I am assuming)? I would like to do some retro graphics like my '95 had. Something like this [IMG]

    Nice Derp Work!

Will Plastidip hold up if I use it to line the floors of my jeep? It's a 73 CJ5 that has a fiberglass tub. Thanks.

I wouldn't recommend it for flooring since its a very busy area and would get peeled off easily

Probably not since it is a high traffic area, if you have floor matts it might

The stripes were the first thing I plasti dipped, I wasn't familiar with it so I didn't know its best to peel the tape when the dip is wet so I put on 4 coats and had to cut along the tape to keep the dip from peeling with the tape. tape isn't that expensive so just throw some on there and set it how you want it to look and paint it, I would highly recommend retaping after paint though because I kinda cut some of my clear coat trying to get the tape off

I have been doing it a new way I came up with that has worked great.

Take the razor blade and dip the leading edge in pb blaster. It cuts plasti dip like butter instead of fighting it and that keeps you from messing up your paint.

    Dont use to much

Yea if you peel a little bit on accident and stick it back down with your finger carefully before it gets dirty or cured it sticks just fine

OK complete noob to the plastidip. Where do I start?

I REALLY like the idea of doing the emblems and badges. But my taco is that dark grey. Don't know if black would be the right color for it.

Dark grey as in magnetic gray metallic? Do you have chrome bumpers or color matching?

For me, I have color matching bumpers and I have black steps which went well with the black emblems.

    Here's a picture of mines.
