So this is how the gubment is planning on staying open? First day back to work and some gubment pencil-neck decides to start auditing people... It just never ends with them.

I'd at least try to get H&R block to refund you what you paid. You paid them for a service, they did not perform the service. Fuck, threaten small claims court.

They do, but have to purchase the extra protection or W/E it's called. They will pay any interest/ penalties incurred due to their error unless you buy the extra protection, then they will also cover back taxes if it was their error.

    That sucks, man.
I had a similar issue when I was buying a house, actually. Turns out the Guv'ment never accepted my 2010 return (didn't sign the damn thing)...and never told me about it either. So that derailed the homebuying process for about 6 weeks.
But, at least I didn't have to pay in, since I was entitled to a refund. Having to pay in would really be a suck. Sorry to hear it.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
IRS sent me a bunch of shit while I was deployed, talking about how I owed thousands... Turned out THEY had messed up. What a mess. SMH

I did a similar deal with mine for $150. Just happy to have them out of the garage.

That's pretty stupid... We give the government an interest free loan for the year, god forbid we make a mistake, they charge us interest and it takes them 2 fucking years to go through everything. We have a few months to get our tax returns in, they should be limited on how long after the return is submitted that they can come back asking for money. And you know damn well if they find a mistake in their favor that they aren't going to be sending out notifications...

    Sorry /rant

The normal guarantee only pays penalties and interest. You have to get the extended service plan to get back taxes covered. I'm working to get the cost of they charged to prepare the taxes back.

Kendra started the nagging and I always said to her "Let's just practice". Well... practice makes perfect and 9 months later life is upside down and sideways all in one

You think you're getting the baby nagging now...Wait until you get a house.

The GF doesn't even WANT kids, and when we bought our first house one of the first things she said was "wouldn't that back room make a perfect nursery?" and I just about had a heart attack. I was 24 at the time, and the house we'd just bought was a major fixer-upper (a foreclosure). The previous owners had 10 dogs, 10 cats, three kids, and smoked like chimneys. The house was less than 10 years old, but it needed all new subfloors, floors, and a lot of drywall before it really was livable.

So good luck with the house, and good luck with the baby talk.
