New to Tacoma World and have a ?

    Yesterday I was at the toyota dealership dealaing on a new tacoma, the salesman told me of a Prerunner access cab that they will be receiving in a week. He said that it has the (OC) "TRD Offroad Extra Value PKG" on it. My question is "can you get that option on a prerunner? I go to Toyota.com to order your vehicle and that option does not come up on a prerunner, it only comes up on the 4x4. Hopefully you'all can help me on this.

    Yeah, the Access cab can be a Prerunner with the Off Road package. ;) For example, Derekabraham's truck is an access cab prerunner with the OR package.

    I think it's a dealer oriented thing. I have seen it on some trucks at one dealership, but not at another.

    i have ridden in both, and honestly, i couldnt tell a real difference....although, the off roads may be a tad stiffer.

    I can't find all the numbers- but the OR has a heavier damping shock and a slightly higher spring rate IIRC. Along with a lighter weight anti-sway bar (26mm vs 28mm).

    It allows better articulation and more compliance on slow speed obstacles and rough terrain- but a stiffer on road, high speed ride- as I understand it. I've only driven the Sport and then the OME install I did on my Taco.
