Post number 159, on page 8 of this thread. Until now it was a stock DJI Phantom. I couldn't tell you the exact video transmitter being used though, as I did not build the setup. I bout it from mike, so he make be able to chime in with some specs or model numbers.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock

OK, your Video Tx antenna is probably too close to the 2.4 antenna on the aircraft. Essentially the video transmitter is overpowering your 2.4 RC transmitter.

Video Tx is a Lawmate 1.2 (1.0 Watt) with Bluebeam Ultra antennas on air/ground side.

after about 15 mins of flight time I decided to mod my little guy with some LEDs.

How important is it to have weight distributed evenly on these? For some reason I only added 3 lights instead of 4 so now one propeller is without light. It was flying a little "off" so I didnt know.

10-4. i'll see what i can do over the weekend. this may require relocation of both the 2.4 and video antennas.

the controller in the quad wants to keep it level. you'll notice that if you hold it in your hand with the throttle up, and tilt it far enough, the blades on the high side will actually stop spinning, in and effort to level it out. something as small as an LED shouldn't really affect it, but if you're drifting when you try to hover, just adjust the trims acordingly.

Thanks, Colin. Thats what I had been thinking. And now that I think about it I may have not had it completely level when I pluged the battery in.

it's hard to get it perfect every time. first thing i do every time i fly the little one is hover for a couple seconds and give the trims a couple clicks. then good to go :)

they should attach an airbag to the bottom of the trailer, and when you crash, it popcorns the trailer/cockpit 8 feet into the air and lands you on your lid :D

Shit! No wonder.... 1 watt is a ton of video tx power. Plus a good rule is to not have your video more powerful than your controller...

1.2 is half the wave length of 2.4 so they won't play well unless you have a good low pass filter on the video Tx.

    Thanks!

So you have a flight battery and a video to battery? If that's true that will hinder your flight time. The video tx draw should be way less than than the motors. You can use one battery for both and just add a capacitor between the positive and negative power leads to the video to to filter out motor noise.
