Who needs a 5th gear?!

I shift first through fourth, skip 5th gear and go to 6th about 90% of the time. Sometimes I skip fourth and fifth.

Just wondering if anyone with a Man Trans ever uses 5th Gear?

I skip 5th a lot too, and 3rd and 4th. I wish 6th was a little taller and reverse needs to be way lower. Why does anybody needs to go 40mph in reverse.

When I drove a 6 speed I would really only use every other gear..

 

You'll find that it's a very nice thing to have when you are towing some thing that has some weight or wonder through the Mt's

I only have 5.. so yeah. But I do sometimes skip 1st. Its almost too low.

 

Flat ground i'll skip 5th....going up a slight incline ill drop to 5th though

i sometimes skip 3rd and 4th when downshifting.

I actually was going to say that he uses his gears like he uses his woman;

With minimal input about what actually happens, and when.
