Howdy All. My first post to TW and wanted to say hello from the 'Tip O' the Mitt'. I am on my fourth Toyota 4x4. ('89' RC, '91' AC, '96'RC and my current ride, an '04' RC. 2.7 5sp. I have the Mojave Teflons inside Hankook Dynapro's with a matching Leer capper. Mystic Gold Metallic/Oak.
I have 134,000 on this beauty,I am the original owner, and I have changed front brakes/rotors, one OX2 sensor, (aft of cat), muffler and tailpipe. That is all. I love the gold color...very understated and looks good all the time. One thing I've noticed, however, is I can spend the day polishing, waxing and the truck does not look one bit better than when I started. Ha Ha. It deffinitely is not 'Black'.
This site is an incredible resource and I am spending entirely too much time here. I discovered this site in a search, attempting to find the proper lug pattern and offset for the Mojaves. Thank you all for the input. I purchased the proper Mojaves, and I think they look great with my gold rig. I also was convinced to swap my fluids to synthetics and purchased the Depo replacememnt headlights based on threads on this site.
I now want to black out my badges,(you know they are gonna look good on the gold and with those Mojave's, eh?) and I want to repaint my bumpers as close to the stock 'argent' that I can find, hopefully soon. I really like the stock look of my Taco.
I use mine for my DD, and the four wheel drive is used mostly just to get through the snow, and as I am in the 'snow belt', it gets used quite a bit. I also do some deer hunting and a little ice fishing with this rig. I also race stock outboard and pull a couple racing runabouts around the mid-west with my truck.
Promise to not go so long winded on future posts, I just wanted to check in and say how much I appreciate all the help that this site gives. And, of course, to druel all over the beautiful examples of the best truck that has ever been built. Thanks Mark

Pretty much just to keep the roads plowed for the people smart enough to just pass through.
