I am looking for some good agressive off road tires. I would like them to be quiet also. I have a 3" lift and want 32" tires. The tricky thing is I need the price for a set to be around $800 or under. Thanks in Advance.

Most people here on TW will say either the BFG AT or The Goodyear Duratracs. Checkout tirerack.com and look at the reviews over there.

those nittos with the flame tread pattern. wheelin is all about looking good. ;)

i run BFG KM2's on my tacoma (285/70R17) had them on now for almost 2 years. i love them. ive put probably 50-60,000 kms on them now and they still have decent tread. my only complaint is they chunk a fair bit on logging roads. never had a flat (knock on wood) yet and they perform great in pretty much every condition ive thrown at them.

alternatively ive had a couple buddies run the goodyear mtrs with kevlar and 2 blew sidewalls on the same obstacles that my km2's made it through without any trouble.

    Welcome,

There is literally thousands of threads on this subject. There are tires that fair better in different conditions than others, I'd suggest doing a search or clicking on one of the related thread links at the bottom of this thread.

It depends on what kind of offroading your looking to do. Mud, rocks, brush??

BFG KM2's It is nice when you drive into mud, sink in, shift into 4wd and crawl out...........for mud. Some might say Toyo's but I have heard hat they are a heavy tire.

I think either of those tires would be hard to find at his price. In my experience the BFG's don't do very well in mud. The duratracs do better, but they also seemed louder. In fact most tires that do we'll in mud seem louder to me...

    :annoyed:

Yea hard to satisfy both requirements for mud wheeling.

That's like looking for a gun for brown bear protection... with no recoil.

"Blowing a sidewall" is driver error.

I've had my kevlars through some serious nasty rocks and the sidewalls are fine. They are thick, and reinforced with Kevlar (hence the Kevlar name :cookiemonster: I have made some driver error, and thought I was going to shred a sidewall, but they have really held up to major abuse.
