NM Adventure Series

I'd say Saturday, just in case something/somebody breaks... then we'd have Sunday to get it it figured out. If stuff hits the fan on Sunday, you've got the problem of having to show up at work the next day.

 

Just want to make sure you're included.

Got a few trails all throughout the area for ATVs and such. Loose river bed for you MT guys. And of course the rocks in the western part of the area.

 

MT roads... im down... any trails or routes that lead to a drop of uncertain death?

Where: For those in ABQ we'll meet up somewhere off US550 in Bernalillo at 7am. Then we go here:http://www.blm.gov/nm/st/en/prog/recreation/farmington/Glade_Run_Recreation_Area.html

 

Those are usually in the rock areas. Well on some little trails there are drop offs of a few feet.

 

Are there bypasses?

 

Last time I was there my truck was open/open and a 3" lift. I played on a few areas. I remember a few marked trails but most of the area was open travel. So just know your limits. The hard stuff is usually evident. Being Veterans Day weekend there might be jeeps and tube buggies there. Just don't follow the buggies.

Ohh man... My mom will be in town and that's her birthday. Sorry.

 

I wish I can go Veterans day or otherwise.......Afraid the truck won't be fixed by then unless you all want to give me some money for some DOM tubing. Truck won't be getting too much use till I can get it done.

 

I really want to go but I'd need a drive shaft before my truck and get on the road. Hmm... Front wheel drive for hours on end?

 

What about picking one up from a junkyard?

 

It's a 2 1/2 hour drive for me. Headed into Abq on Sunday after work to pick up my wife at the airport. But it'll be closed by then. I think an early 4runner shaft would be the right length, if the junkyards don't have a single cab with the DS still on it.

 

I wonder if Silas would be interested in a trip to the junkyard earlier in the day. Can see about finding one and making an exchange...

 

I did it for a couple of days... It is crazy feeling, not like a fwd car at all. Pulls really hard in turns with even the slightest gas.

I heard from Silas. He doesn't know of any junkyards that have a 4x4 single cab we can pull a driveshaft from. Looks like luck has run dry for now.
