My bushing from ECGS showed up on the front stairs sometime last night. Quick service is always a good thing. Now I have to get my shit together and finish some "honey do things"

Not yet, planning on trying to get them running today. This is the first day I've had free in a while. I have some maintenance to do on the truck and Kendra's car but after that, I'm going to see if I can get them up and running.

Hopefully by the end of the day I'll have my SS lines on the truck (fronts only) and my heated mirrors will finally work. Sliders are probably coming off today for some more paint.

Welp, i might have just lost the corner of my thumb. Leaving work to clean it up and decide if i am going for stitches. Brand new blade on my knife so its a clean cut so i might be lucky and it will heal fine.

Id get it checked out, make sure you didn't go too deep and get the tendons or nerves. You definitely do not want an infection in the nerve or tendon, very painful and long recovery.

I finally have heated mirrors! :woot: Unfortunately, I also found a nail in one of my tires... It's still holding air so I'm hoping it'll take a plug and hold up.

I hear if the ER takes to long to help you. You can put super glue along the edges to keep it together and have a chance for it not to die off. I dunno how true it is. Still a risk of infection I am sure.

Take it from me, get it stitched,

I cut the side of my index finger with a razor knife, it went 1/4 through my nail and about half of my finger.

I didnt get it stitched and it took forever to heal, and I couldnt feel the tip of that finger for about 5 years. Its still a little numb.

I sliced the top of my finger on some glass years ago trying to separate a foglight housing. It was about an inch long and I could see bone. So I used a band-aid instead of getting stitches. It took some time to heal, and may have left a scar worse than if I had it stitched.

I haven't used that one, i use a similar assisted open for EDC, SOG flash II or if i want to go gangsta with the murda'd out blade an SOG Trident. Either way i love the assisted open. I'm sure its probably not legal here in the peoples republic, but meh who cares.

How does the assisted open work? Is it springs in the handle?
    These are my current set.

Love the spyderco's. so expensive though. Not sure what mechanism the SOG's use. All i know is i touch my thumb to the blade and it pops open. I really like the SOG's. Had the flash for a few years, and the trident about a year and half. They have held up great to fresh and salt water alike. I usually have at least the trident with me when kayak fishing since its got a line cutter built in. Plus they are made I'm the US with US steel, not cheap Chinese crap.
