Im not saying that gearing is a bad thing at all, its just not needed. The cost to do gears, lockers & seals w labor is going to be a lot. Bill, its your $$, but I would go for a ride with one of the guys here that is geared and see how you like it (especially in OD)
As for shops, we have a few here that can handle it, but I would call around and see who warranty's there work and who has done the ARBs in Toyota's. Try Phoenix Rack & Axle, I just picked up a pinion bearing from them and I know Jason has used them for his truck. Dick's is another shop that has been in the valley for a very long time, but Im unsure if they do ARB. Let me know what you find out!

 

Dicks was bought out by Phoenix rack and axle a few years ago. The name is still around but they have the same contact info.

Guys, I appreciate the replies about re-gearing and where to get them and lockers installed. While I do some research I will let the money tree grow. Been blowing a lot of $$ on the Tacoma recently....(but I know you guys can relate)

Yeah, I was going to pick up the coils and shocks from you right when I get back but I wasn't planning on installing them for a while (middle of next semester?). I will need some more money first so I can get some rear shocks and an aal (and new uca's).
