Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
also, what does anyone think. I have been thinking about doing my chrome grill black?

It did not start that way.

If I started with the intention I would have gone that route and next time I do the whole truck I will :)

Its actually been cheaper I only have about $220 in it and 26 cans now.

Has anyone thought about using plastidip as a paint mask? I was thinking about doing something complex. The plastidip can be painted on, peeled off until I'm happy. Then shoot the paint and remove the plastidip mask
Would that work? Or will the paint melt the plastidip and make it "permanent dip"

Ignore the haters. This is full-on scientific method:

    1. Hypothesis
    2. Experiment
    3. Did experiment match hypothesis results?
    4. Why or why not?
    5. Repeat as needed.

Same process that Tesla, Einstein and Hawking did. Yours just involved many cans of derp and a few rounds of ammunition. None of it is anything I'd have done to my truck but you have my deep respect for trying.

I just tried baking a LUG NUT that i sprayed 5-6 coats of Plasti Dip for 10 minutes, but i forgot and let it baked for 30 mins or more.

Then when i took it out the plasti dip was perfectly fine, didnt look like it was melting, however when i use something to scrape against it, it pushed the plasti dip, because it is melted i guess.

So as long as you dont touch it, it will just cool and be able to peel off.

I only test it this, because i plan on plasti dipping my headlight bezel.

PS: I plasti dipped some Chrome parts on my GFs car, when i tried wash it, i was afraid the dip will come off, because it is sort of sticky? Because it is plasti. I seriously cant imagine doing that to the entire car lol

I wash my truck with a pressure washer and a brush. The dip holds up great. The only place I have issues is the rocker where my shoes etc scrape and rub it. I'm going to flat black vynal over it there but I havebjust touched it up no big deal.

The dip holds up to pretty much everything accept citrus I think (wd40, pb blaster, goo gone) those all melt it.

I would not paint over the dip, maybe as a masking for overspray but make sure the plasti dip is thick. I don't think it will melt the plasti dip but it will make it hard to peel with the hard paint if its more than overspray.

Thank you. That's how it went, so far I have learned a bunch and like the results. the good news its one that's pretty easy to reverse if I didn't.

Some things are best learned by doing after all.

    Some stuff...
    :yes::rofl::rofl:

My thoughts exactly! Wheeled my rig this weekend and got some pin-striping as a result. A neighbor said to me "OMG, you have scratches on that truck and it only has 8,000 miles on it!" I said "I didn't buy it to mall crawl, I bought it to wheel, camp and fish."

Thanks! I miss it! Its all super white again, it was on the truck until last fall, removal went well and paint is nice and clean underneath. There is on scratch in my tailgate from a chain for the trailer with a matching small dent. I took it all off because I have a new baby now and I was headed to Afghanistan. When I get home I will be going to a double cab. Possibly the TRD PRO if they can get me an orange one with a 6spd.
