Anyone here the owner of the red access cab I was following down 355 in Rockville today? Heading south towards Bethesda around 2. Had a spare on the tailgate, looked to be about a 3" lift and 33s or so, and a black plate bumper up front.

 

Just took all the stuff out of the back seat of my truck, vacuumed the whole truck twice, scrubbed carpets and seats and mats, vacuumed again, waiting for it to dry while i wash the rest of the truck. Then i'll put all my stuff back in, dry the outside of the truck,buff a few things(tomorrow), and then wax the whole truck tomorrow. Pre-winter detailing.

What do u guys think about brush guards on the 2nd gens? On the fence about gettin one. Any thoughts? And btw it's this one....

 

@ What price point? You could get a BULL BAR Plate bumper for ~900 shipped off Amazon.

 

I didn't look that closely because he passed me/I was following him but now that I think about it I think he did.. Haha either way it was an awesome truck. Made my stocker look tiny and boring I need money and to learn how to do things.

There is also a guy who lives somewhere near me (I'm in Damascus but I think he is closer to Frederick or Howard county) that I've seen twice in the morning on my way to work. It's a DCSB super white with a Leer cap, about 2-3" lift, front light bar, and I know he had a raptor grill... Haha

 

I've always figured, if i'm going to spend $500 on a brush gaurd, why not just spend $900 or $1000 on a plate bumper that is exorbitantly more strong. It is your truck and your money but when i do my next tacoma....i'm going ARB after a little lift/level kit. Then i'll save up for the warn winch i want. Keep in mind this is YEARS down the road for me.

 

I don't really like them that much. Save for another couple months and go with a bumper. Mine only weighs about 100 lbs. With the winch 200lbs. Not that much more weight on the front.

I'm not sure I'll be able to make it. And I know Steve will be mad lol but I was furloughed the past 2 weeks and I can't afford the trip this year. I thought I could make it but it just wouldn't be smart to try and make it work. Sorry everybody I was really looking forward to meeting and seeing you all. Maybe next year.

Joe is good people, he offered me a ride but i'll be in the woods next week end. And i don't have anymore toyota stuff to sell so i really can't justify the gas anymore either.

Well considering my photo is still used on the FB page for the event as 2 registered vehicles going, I aint backing out.

 

Tico if ya wanna go I can swing down your way Friday night an we can go we prob wouldn't get there till late or I could find a place to crash an we can head down early sat.

 

I would love to go but the situation is so bad I wouldn't even be able to afford food or anything down there. im sorry guys I really wanna go so bad its just it wouldn't be smart.
