You need some bracing on that t-case skid. Gonna bend like a pop can if you run it the way it is.

Thanks. Wasn't sure how I was going to do that part. But this morning lying in bed it came to me. Deck hatches for boats. Not happy with white but can always change the color with some paint or bed liner spray.

Spent a few days this past week working on my annual refinish of my bumpers and sliders. That meant pulling the bumpers and swingouts and sanding them down then respraying with Rustoleum.

not a great photo but I repainted the ammo box I carry on my second swingout. Painted it with 3 coats of Graphite and 5 coats of clearcoat.

Rear bumper was off and drying for a day. You can see in this photo that I repainted my CO2 tank as well. Graphite and Red with 5 coats of clear.

Sliders and front bumper all done.

Then I followed it up on Friday night with some camping with my son and then a little wheeling yesterday. Met with a couple guys from our Cruiser club (one FJ40 and one FJCruiser) and my neighbor in his JK Rubicon

    Rubicon got high centered

So anyone kinda local want some deavers j59s

My buyer I had lined up decided he wasn't goin to throw any $ at his truck. So I got a pair of deaver j59 leaf springs up for sale. These are direct fit for 95-04 tacomas. Provide 1.5" lift and are progressive 8 leaves per pack. A great performance upgrade to any tacoma!!!! $700 new and I'm asking $350 obo. They could if they were short and didn't mind not having a seatbelt. I took the rear ones out.

Anyone I put in the bak doesn't wear the belt anyways. They always put there back to the side window, more leg room that way. But I like your design a lot. I might have to do that but with aluminum :)

Thanks. I was thinking sheet metal or aluminum. But wood is easy to work with and will not conduct noise as much..

Will hold more weight on top of it too without getting thick metal. Cheaper then too.

I never really hit anything here in VA but my brother made it and had to turn in his truck for the rust issue. He had the wings on it for High Clearance, but I didn't want to cut the bedsides, andI added the mounts for the LED and CB antenna. Made a receiver mount for the license plate.

I was thinking about that last night, but I would def do aluminum sides, I've flooded my cab a few times and I wouldn't want the wood getting ruined. But running some 1/2" or 3/4" ply on top wouldn't be a bad idea.

Drop bracket lift and booger welds
    Came out to this:

Only to realize the previous owner didn't give me the key to the wheel locks... Had to use a 20mm socket (that I had to go out specifcially to buy because my socket set went from 19mm to 21mm and skipped 20mm grrr) and a hammer to get the bitch off.

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
Well, let's see...it wasn't today, but this weekend:

    • Installed new rotors
    • Installed new ceramic brake pads
    • Installed and wired my rear light switch to the ignition accessory so the text lights up
    • Used split loom to clean up the wiring all the way to the back end - PITA
    • Conscripted a buddy to help me make rear light mounting brackets
    • Painted the brackets and mounted the lights to the tow hitch frame.
    • Washed her

    Rear Light switch by OTRATTW.

I intentionally made the bracket extend slightly past the end of the lights just to add a little more protection.

Here are the lights that I used:
    18w 6 LED 1360 Lumen 6000K
