This is true. I can toss the 250 around in rocks or trails fairly nicely. Once I get out on nice long whoop sections a 450 would be soo nice though. The 250 is still a blast, but I was not keeping up with my buddy on the open sections haha.

We were camped on the North Millican OHV side of hwy 20, right by the ODOT pit. Love the wide open trail system out there. I would kill myself so fast haha! The biggest I've been on was a KTM 525 and that was bonkers!

Ya that's a great area. That's where I learned how to ride a CR500, and I really miss being able to ride year round. I've been up there in 4" of snow...and it was awesome! I just traded in a WR250F and WR450F for the katoom. They were equally fast until the 450 hit 5th gear then it would walk away from the 250. Now the 990...is insane. That's coming off a built nitromethane/alky CR500 that had 100hp at the rear wheel. I could do 100mph wheelies all day long on the CR...the 990 does that and I still have two more gears to go. It is the most fantastic desert bike ever made!

Nah, it's no scam. Seller just moved and truck is else where. He can ship it to you after you send payment through ebay and you have 7 days to look it over. If you don't like it or find anything wrong with it, hey! No problem! Ship it back to him on his dime :)

Hahaha "Oh I'm out of town!"

Yeah, that's what they use on Lamborghinis. Top of the line!

Right on! Like I said, it's nice!

Steering box. I think he also packs a spare driveline, steering arm, a bunch of heims, etc.

Gotta love the flex on that thing...but they did pretty damn good for RWD on wheels that are 4" wide.

On another note, I think it was Jake that mentioned it to me on the trip on Sunday. It sounds like there is a company in Oregon that does one piece skids for Tacomas to cover the entire bottom of the truck. I did search for it on here but didn't see anything. Does anybody else know about these? I am definitely interested in finding out more info on them, and if it works out for a few of us in WA, I wouldn't mind driving down with my trailer and picking up a couple few and dropping them off along my way home if I get one for myself.

Are you possibly referring to the skids made by Tallon?

    I think he is.

And for some reason, Andrew went through some really thick brush areas. He has pinstripes everywhere. Not sure what we did different

    ^^^true^^^

All my speed-stripes came from below the big saddle area where you guys had lunch. Prolly had 3/4 mile of pretty tight road (scraping both sides & roof).

WTF, did I clear all the brush on NF-7710 2 on Saturday?
