    I've read the stickies, and talked to other members, but i still haven't made up my mind, i'm looking for 1-1.75'' of lift, while on a college student budget.
    5100's, 1'' or 1.75? , price $185 from DSM.
    OME 881's (without shocks), 1.5-1.75'' of lift, $190, plus either 5100's, $185, or OME shocks $280.

    I don't want to skimp if it means reduced ride quality, my truck already rides slightly more rough than stock because the PO changed out the shocks for stiffer valved ones.

    Both.

    You can't run 881's on stock or stock length shocks. You'll need the extended travel the 5100's provide.

    Why the 5100's over the Nitrocharger shocks?

    881s will ride better with the Nitrocharger shock.

    5100s are a cheap way to lift your truck using stock springs.

    Spacer lift < 5100 w/ stock coils < 881 w/ nitrocharger


    For the record I have 881 w/ nitrochargers and the ride is slightly stiffer than stock.

    are nitrocharger shocks better them 5100 shocks?


    To OP. I have 5100's all around. 881's in front and a 1.5 progressive 3 AAL in the rear. It gave me 2.5" in the front and 1.5" in the rear.
    It was a nice cheap lift that leveled me all around perfect. And the ride is great. A little stiff but its a truck.

    Sorry but you are wrong.
    I ran my stock tokicos with 881's for over a year before I switched to nitrochargers.
    It's recomended but certainly not required.

    The Ome nitrochargers pair pretty well with any of the 88X series coil springs.
