Hmmm... Let me talk to the better half. I'm interested in the sander actually, I don't have one of those and I'd likely use it more than the routing table.

Guys just got my truck this weekend. Parents help me out and I ended up getting a DCLB. I am very excited about the truck and I have found something wrong. Long story short I need to find someone or someplace who can help with HID's. Anyone know of someone in Connecticut near the Bridgeport,Stratford, Norwalk area that could help. Any where in lower Connecticut is really good.

Longer story- When I bought the truck while the paper work was getting sorted out my mom decided to put HID's in. It was going to be a surprise and a birthday present as well I told her that I would do all the after market stuff but she did it anyway. Now while driving home the HID's looked great then in went to my high beams and we'll they look like crap. They look like they got aimed to the ground. I was also expecting the high beams to be HID's. Now I didn't realize this at the dealer and until it got night time. So what I need is some help or a place to see what the Toyota place did. My mom said Toyota gave the job to some 3rd party. I would go back and ask them to fix it but that is 700 miles away. Any ideas?

Thanks for the help in advanced

Here she is at the dealer

    Nice truck!

As to your problem, HID's in stock reflector housings suck and they aren't meant to be paired together. If you want better lighting and to be able to use HIDs, you should look into a projector retrofit. Check out theretrofitsource.com.

I know I wanted to just keep the regular housing for now. The retrofit would hopefully come off when the truck is paid off. I just mainly want to fix the high beams and just convert them to HID's.

    First off welcome.

As far as the HID's they may have had to adjust the headlight angle depending on how they did the HIDs so they don't blind oncoming traffic. This may have messed up the output direction of the high beams. Either way i would Val the dealer and see if the 3rd party had a local branch to address the issue

That's the problem, they had to tilt the headlights down so you don't blind oncoming traffic, rendering your high beams ineffective

What headlights do you have? With the stock headlights, there's no way to have HID low beams and halogen high beams unless you have a weird bulb that has the halogen tip and the HID base. Do you have aftermarket housings also?
