My truck was stolen from West Hollywood sometime this weekend (checked w/ LAPD, it was not towed).

It is a Silver 2008 Double Cab Long Bed Tacoma with the following mods:
    - Icon Coilovers
    - Total Chaos UCAs
    - American Racing teflon wheels (I forget the model) with 285/70/17 Duratracs
    - Tint front and rear
    - Bilstein 5100's in the rear
    - Stubbs Sliders
    - AAL and tsb leaf in the rear

    License plate: 8R25773

Just did a bunch of maintenance on it (of course) and took really good care of that freaking thing. Let me know if you guys have any tips or tricks on this or need any additional info but if you could keep your eyes out for the parts, that would be fantastic. Here are some pics.

It's probably in Mexico by now, destined to be put in a container on a ship and sent to a far away land.

Was that shackle on it? Any identifying marks or items?

The shackle wasn't on it but the receiver was.

There's a horizontal scratch in the top middle of the tailgate, just below the plastic lip. Nearly straight and about 2" long. There's another small horizontal scratch on the right taillight but that's about it. I babied that thing, no joke. The suspension, wheels, tint and sliders are the big differentiators.

Also, the 7-pin connector was smashed from wheeling.

Thanks. Yeah it's fully insured, but I don't think they'll cover the aftermarket stuff. Plus I literally moved to LA last week and had a bunch of stuff in the back seat. It was covered and hard to see with the tint and windshield shade, but still. Plus all the personal info in there like registration, etc.

Unfortunately not, pretty much looks like every truck on here. Man that sucks so bad, I feel for you big time.

Hopefully your insurance will step up to the plate.

Like another member mentioned, it’s probably already across the boarder or on its way there.

Yeah but there's not really much else to point out. I know there's two hard to see door dings and a couple rock chips on the front, but that won't really help.

Thanks. I'm sure the truck is gone but if they part out the suspension I'd like to catch them trying. The coil on the driver's side coilover has scratches on it from the UCA. The UCAs themselves were squeaky as hell. Everything else was pretty standard. Drivers side headlight was starting to get hazy.

    No lojack.

The weird thing is there is a shitty old tacoma with Louisiana plates right where I left mine. They even folded in the drivers side mirror like i did before i left. Pretty sure they did that on purpose just to F with me. Bastards.

That reeks of a stolen vehicle swap. The suspect stole vehicle one somewhere, drove it until it got too hot (too long stolen, not temp), then traded it for yours. Car thieves have their likes so this guy knows Tacomas. Hopefully it will turn up, but it may take awhile. An agency with a License Plate Scanner will have better luck than just randomly running the plate while on patrol and getting a stolen hit. Damn, sorry that happened. Good luck, hope she comes home safe!

Just an FYI. West Hollywood is Sheriff, territory and LAPD has nothing to do with that area. Might want to check them.
Hope you get it back in tact.

You should ask your insurance company about an addition to the policy that covers a few thousand in acessories so you don't lose as much. I sure as hell hope you find it. Only thing i hate more than thevies are rapists an pedophiles. Hope it comes home safe. Best of luck man.

I feel for you brother. Mine was stolen on the 27 of last month. Still not found. Everyone told me it probably was driven straight to Mexico. Insurance company paid me off but I did not get any money for my mods. Homeowners insurance will cover the 4500 worth of tools...but that has not been paid yet. I went ahead and bought another one and ended up spending 15k more than I had for the insurance. The problem with the insurance, you have to pay the deductible. We have gotten a few calls now where my check were trying to be run without my signature. Cops are after those clowns too. I will be paying for all of this for some time. Changed locks on everything. Put GPS tracking in my new one, some checks still out there, put holds on my credit ratings if something pops up, made new boat keys, bought new boat license plate, cannot replace my dads tools and tool box...the list goes on and on.
    Best of luck to you.
