And ya hids in reflector housings are a bad idea. I'm surprised the dealer would even allow an aftermarket company to do that

They are the stock as far as I can see they put 2 bulbs in the housing. The hid as the main one and then the halogen to the right of it. It is the stock housing. I will add a picture of what it is like after class. It's very weird.

I was to its like a surprise from hell. The hid low beam are brighter than the high beams.
She wanted it to be something nice and it was but that's is why I told her not to add anything I would do it.

Sean, I'd go back to halogens until you can go with a full retrofit. The stock housings are actually pretty decent and, when paired with a decent halogen bulb, put out good light without the obnoxious glare to oncoming traffic. Sorry man, HID's in a stock housing are never a good idea and are usually horrible in fog and foul weather due to the glare.

Here is a picture of what each headlight looks like 9a5enuve_622dcdc2ffd3abe065708b29b4b45f11333670ee.jpg

The HID's are the left bulb and the white piece is the regular halogen. It's very weird and that's kinda why I want a place to fix it because I have not a clue what they did.

That's just a fancy bulb, they mate a halogen with an HID so you still have a selectable high beam since you really can't get a high beam in a stock reflector housing. Seriously, I know you just got those bulbs but you will get better lighting out of a halogen bulb in that housing unless you retrofit.

What retrofit would you suggest? If I want a good light output and that's not to bad to wire up. And now what do I tell my mom who just spent the money to have that done haha. Sorry mom just wasn't worth it haha.

I'm not even going to attempt to breech the topic on how to break it to your mom, haha. That's all you! From strictly a performance stand-point, you're best and simplest solution would be a quality halogen like Philips or a PIAA or some of the Slyvania (not the silverstars).

For a projector, check out the Morimoto D2S or H1 from The Retrofit Source. they are NOT plug and play, they require you to pull apart your headlights, install a projector and reseal the light. It's not an overly difficult process and is 100% reversible but will take you a little bit of time. The wiring is plug and play once the projector is installed. Search on this site H1 and you'll find a write up on how to install the H1 projector, the D2S is exactly the same, just a different bulb.

I rode year-round for one winter, on nice days, until I realized that I was in constant "flinch mode" from all the loose grit sandblasting the underside of the bike. Plus, I changed jobs the next year, and during the winter I get to work in the dark and leave work in the dark. Not so much fun on the bike, really.

The job I'm on isn't nearly that black and white. There have been a shitload of Owner and Design Team driven changes to open the door for the subs. I'm just a middle man between the sub and Owner and I end up fighting with both sides!

Well a few reasons. I wanted a diesel but in terms of maintenance I don't want $100 oil changes and issues with a diesel. I needed something that can tow and be comfortable. It needs a transmission but I got a core to rebuild both so I have a spare. Chrysler doesn't make good transmissions.

Mike: they are factory only on the 5.9 Limited and vent out heat. The 360ci pumps out heat big time.

We are trading. But I'm keeping what I'm doing to myself. I am keeping my truck and jeep. The jeep will be all stock besides headers and catback. Tire king knows

It'll tow more than your truck lol. Buddy hauled 20k worth of blue stone with a unibody and it did it with so sweat.
