    Made some corrections.

Rotated the axle end link brackets down, pinion is about 5 degrees, upper link brackets roughed out and tacked. Vertical separation at the frame is 6.5" and separation at the axle is 10" at the highest.

I think I'll leave it at this until the steering box and panhard are both mounted and see what happens. I still want to raise the crossmember/frame end brackets.

I don't think I'll completely tear it down, just remove and clean anything that is bolted down. Though the rest of the build may hint otherwise. :anonymous:

Yeah everything is set up as it would be at ride height, and raised 5 inches. I set the jack stands high to give me a little more room to work.

I can't remember, but was there some rule of thumb for vertical separation at the frame? I know the upper should be at least 75% the length of the lowers and vertical separtion at the axle should be 25% of the tire diameter...

Build it at full bump you will run into more problems building it at ride hieght. The 25% thing can't always be done 10" of separation at the axle is hard to get at full bump. But you have a 4 banger so it might be different for you.

Yeah I'm trying to take full bump into account as much as I can. I arched the engine mounts specifically to clear the upper link.

God you oil pan is off too..so the motor has been sitting dry for how long?

Everything is bolted..haha so to me that means head off and rods and piston and crank with all new bearings and valve stems and gaskets ect.....haha pricey..

It may have been said somewhere but I can't seem to find it. What kind of axle are you putting in the front?

I'm hoping I don't. One of my goals was to build a setup without any bent links, ect. The panhard sits in front of the diff. The axle end of the panhard sits somewhat underneath the high steer arm at full lock to the driver's side. Was a bit tricky but I'm hoping it'll work out ok.

Ahh gotcha. Looks like it would hit the diff from that pic. Clears the cover too?

Yeah it'll clear the cover. Barely.

I got to tweak a few things to get another 3/4" or so of up travel, move the upper link bracket further to the driver's side and should be sitting pretty good.

^ Couldn't drop it any farther because the driver's side link was hitting the jack stand.
