I did this a few times. Pic a small airport with a diner and fly in for lunch. It was fun. One place the diner was closed and the fbo let us use his car to eat in town. That wouldn't happen now .....

Holy cow those are beautiful Vizslas. Look just like mine. We got ours from a breeder in KY who competes with them.

The great thing about these dogs is that they keep us moving and active. Mine sleeps on the floor of my truck when we're traveling.

We got him here: They say that most Vizsla owners own more than one - I am thinking of getting a baby sister for him.

He has his own youtube channel:

We're actually just a few miles from Seamans Airport, a general aviation field just north of Scranton.

When I got my private ticket, I was flying out of the airfield at Fort Sill, OK. We used to grab all of the planes in the flying club several times a year and fyl "BFR." We'd all go to Bob's restaurant next to a small field just into Texas for ribs (BFR).

i have 5100's all around, with fronts set at .85,with 4 leaf(factory) pack in the rear...the truck is sporty to drive, much better than the bilstein 4600's my 2010 trd prerunner came with!

    Morning all:
:yay:We got a few walleyes last night. Still not prime at the river, but after the cold front moves through they should really be hitting.
Can't chime in on the flying, the last time I was up in a small plane was about 40 yrs. ago. A buddy of mine, whose father was a retired AF Col., got me a free ride in a plane his dad owned. Nice, but I would rather stay on the ground! :D
Just read something in a local paper.
They are planning on having a Veterans day celebration at a school. Because of a supreme court ruling on prayers in schools, the Chaplain of the local Legion can't start the ceremony off with a prayer! :der: Now the local Legion in that area is thinking about not being part of it.
All I can do is shake my head, one ridiculous thing after another! :(

Yup, that's it! It is a pretty field. We also have an active hot air balloon company up here that flies all around the area. They've landed here on our farm many times.

I got as far as flying Cessna 172s before the costs exceeded my ability to fund my license as a young married Army officer. My instructor was rated up through commercial 707s at the time, was a glider instructor and was an IP in the UH1 simulator on post. I got lots of unique stick time with him as he worked to keep up his mins. I never knew what I'd be flying when I showed up for lessons - glider, tail dragger, UH1 simulator.....or just a Cessna 152 or 172.

At this point, I think flying radio controlled might be as much stick time as I'm going to get. :D
