new to forum...sorry for repeat question... i have a 2005 SR5 4x4 quad cab. never had an issue until yesterday...developed a clicking under the dash...sounds like coming from the passenger side up high...happens any time the key is in the on position...thinking it is an issue with the damper control on the AC????...anyone else heard of this issue?

Try your fan speeds and see if it changes. Mine can sound like glass tinkling underwater throughout the dash. It's a screw that loosens on the fan under the glovebox. May not be it in your case, but it's worth a test.

a/c blower motor. mine started clicking on my old 2005 dclb. sometimes it wouldnt work at all until i reached down and gave it a little love tap. clicking/chirping is common on these. I pulled mine out, cleaned it, and reinstalled and it wasnt as bad. You can get a replacement motor aswell from certain auto parts stores. around 100$ i think. Its on the lower part of passenger dash down above to the passengers feet.

clicking is independent of the fan speed...still clicks when the fan is off. i have also noticed that my temperature control on the A/C will no longer switch over to hot. I am thinking it is the damper positioning motor...
