    Great thanks for the quick reply Jason - good to informally meet you.

    If I go it will be a Saturday / Sunday thing so I guess I'll coordinate with some of the gents up here to see when/where they are departing. I imagine we would meet up with you all for some wheeling and then settle down, or I guess we could do the opposite depending on how early we left. Sounds like we don't have any real set times yet.

    I've been reassured that my PreRunner will make it... can I get 1 more reassurance :) (feelings of inadequacy w/out 4wd)

    Would walkies work for communicating once we got fairly close in or is the area too big? anybody have GPS coords? We would be heading down Saturday morning early from Tempe. Usually we go north above the Rim so this is a first for us heading to camp down south. I guess it would be best to meet with someone Saturday and head in with them...

    What would be the estimated time it would take to get from Tempe to the site?

    I think that would be all my questions.

    Nic I guarantee your prerunner will make it out to the camping area as long as you go in the back way. CB will work once you get up on Reddington road, walkie may be useless. I do not currently have GPS coordinates, for either the start of the trail for the back way in, nor the specific area we will be camping. If you are coming down Saturday morning either you could link up with someone else heading in on Sat and follow them in the back way, or someone who goes out Friday could wheel out the Reddington road and meet up with you and then take you in the back way. Estimated time from Tempe down to Tucson and then up on to Reddington road would be maybe 2 - 2.5 hrs at most.


    As I stated earlier. I am going to make a run out to the area on Wednesday and scout it out for possible camping locations as well as possibilities for firewood for our bonfire. If neither seems to be reasonable, then a location change will be made to Mt. Lemmon, more than likely up on a dirt road off Incinerator ridge.

    I will keep everyone updated and post what I find on Wednesday......
