Hm interesting. I probably need to chalk method the psi in mine as well. Did you notice any change in performance or handling characteristics with the cupping? Sorry for all the questions. :)

No problem. They may feel a bit more bumpy when aired up. As for cupping, I don't think it had too much affect. Just the acceleration was what was causing it I think. Just keeping your alignment in check and rotating is probably the best thing you can do.

I know this is a long thread and I didn’t read all of it, but I’m considering these tires. How would you compare these tires with the stock tires that come on the recent Tacomas for highway noise and smoothness of the ride?

Comparing them with stock tires, there will be a difference. Anytime you go to a tire that has a wider and deeper grooves, there is bound to be more noise. However, when comparing the duratracs to other A/T's I've had, they are extremely quiet. I'll buy them again next time for sure.

Can anyone report on the road noise/vibrations/ride comfort over the life of the tire? Do any of the above get worse over time?

I am very close to pulling the trigger on a set of these but want to be certain of these factors since my truck is a daily driver/family vehicle at this point. The mud tires I have on the truck now are getting ready to drive my family insane. I appreciate any input...

Not even close. They make more noise. They also get you from point A to point B when off road. The stock tires should not be taken off road in most cases. If you do not plan on going off road then you don't need these tires, it would just be a waste of gas and more noise. :D

I’ve never gone from highway tires to tires like this. I’ve always had tires like this. I’ve gotten rather spoiled by the nice ride on the highway with the stock tires, but they aren’t holding up to the use I’m giving them. I’ve spent $65 fixing flats in the last two years. Most of my driving is on logging roads and little off road, but the rocks of the logging roads are hard on the stock tires. They’ve performed everything I’ve put them thru, it’s just that 4 ply highway tires aren’t for my type of driving. I just wish there was a way I could try before buying. My only concern is the way they ride and the way the truck handles on pavement with these tires vs highway tires.

I’d be surprised if they didn’t make more noise. Just how much is something I can only find out by buying. I don’t do much off road, almost none at all, but I’m on gravel logging roads far more than I’m on pavement. That’s a bit too much for the stock tires. I’m also looking at the Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx, which looks to be a little less aggressive thread than the Goodyears.

The tread on the Duratracs is intimidating which is what is worrying me a little.
