yup. The 1st Gen dcabs only came in autos. I wanted a dcab originally but at the time really wanted a manual so I settled on the xtra cab.

    Soon...
I read that I'd need to do some fabbing of the Rear body mounts. Possibly a small body lift. It's been done. Just haven't seen a whole lot of detail of the process.

I see a "pull everything off the old and put it on the new" mod day in our future... Including the diffs. And as Brody once said... "Your gunna need a bigger bo... Err... Garage"

Ohh and on a side note, I've been a bit absent because I've been seeing another forum and just like a true woman the Land Rovers are way more needy! Never, ever buy a land rover! It's common place to have to replace a head gasket at 60k-100k miles, there advanced track/DAC modual takes a shit before 75k... And Ohh yea, you need to change the spark plugs and wires every 60k and that's a 4-5 hour job if you have skinny fingers and arms... If not, good luck with that shit!

Just finished one Discovery II and have another showing up tomorrow...
But the great thing about Land Rover guys is they pay well, I think it's because the alternitave is the dealer and they charge over $750 for doing just plus and wires!

Hey guys any recommendations on the OME lift or Toytec ULK. Wanna know if you guys have experience with the two lifts, and what your opinions are.
I've already done my research on TW...Just want your input...
    Thanks

I have OME stiff. I like it however if you do not have bumpers and extra weight the stiff maybe a little much. I cannot speak to Toytec ULK but have had nothing but good business with toytec the company.

I've been a long time OME user. The stuff for Toyota likes some extra weight. No personal experience with Toytec but from what I've read, can't go wrong either way.

I'm torn on this one. Getting a Landcruiser would get me the solid front axle I want. Getting a dcab 1st Gen would allow me to swap everything over. I see the physical therapist at 1 today. Going to see what he thinks.

I just got back from the PT/Chiropractor guy. I want to take a nap so bad. He did adjust me but showed me some stuff to get my hamstrings to release. They're too tight from sitting all day and pulling me out of whack.

He actually drives a 4Runner. Talked him out of trading it for a Hummer H3.

I forgot to ask. Big thing is to get the hammies and hip flexors to release. Thinking I may be ok with the clutch after that.

Welcome back David. I think the last time you saw my truck was when it was still on the spacer lift with 33s. Now I have a D44 with the same 33s  and I've rolled my truck since the swap. Now on the rebuild.
