    OK im new to this forum and i have a question. I have an 09 tacoma with a skid plate and i want to put on a front hitch reciever. Will this work? Any ideas on a good hitch reciever? Thanks:D

    I haven't seen a Tacoma with one, but I've never heard of a reason why.

    You could hook a winch to it.

    Tough to say. I have the same set up, 09 with skid plate, and from what I can see, there isn`t enough room to fit a 2 inch receiver in there without cutting either the bumper plastics or the skid plate. I think it may be a case of one or the other:(

    Yea I like the way the bumpers look but the receiver is a lot cheaper.

    Yea I dont want to have to cut into either one. What about making a custom one?

    The receiver is cheaper by a bit- grand for the winch, either way and the recovery gear, then the 700-1000 for the bumper or 250-400 for the hitch and winch pan...but the improved approach and departure angles on the bumpers...may keep you from getting stuck to begin with....All depends on how much wheeling you do...

    Curt has a front hitch for the Taco, can't find a link right now, but I've seen them a few times in the net.
    Also CBI makes one that's hidden with the bumper, just some minor trimm of the lower grill is needed.
